[snip] I tend to believe it was a accident but you never know with Cellcast . The "accident" was a live show featuring Michelle Moist and Leah Jaye , it was shown unencrypted just after 12am on the 27/11/2011 for just under 20mins on freeview CH96 , Leah was using her "handy cam" and zooming in and licking Michelle's pussy , everything was shown in close up and unencrypted , nothing was hidden or left to the imagination . PS , i don't usually mention accidents or slips , but didn't think mentioning this would do any harm as it was mentioned at the time by other members and freeview Ch 96 is not regulated by Ofcom . From time to time broadcasters get their feeds mixed up, so it might be safer to put Dutch warning symbols on both channels. The Bulletins are full of mainstream broadcasters that put nighttime tapes out at kids tea time. As for Smile TV3 starting at 10pm, what strength is it before midnight? I dont often get to see Freeview so I dont know. When Ofcom were consulting on the change to Shopping Channel licences they said some Cellcast channels would not be affected. [/quote] Well tonight, and i suppose it's the same everynight, they started off with the Dutch 16 warning sign and the sex logo followed by the 18+ warning sign and verbals about having to be over 18 to watch the shows. The full belt and braces for such tame content. Tiffany was on for the first 30 mins and never fully got the bad boys out although she did flash the landing strip several times and got very suggestive on the mic. The annoying Geri kept interrupting to advertise a rude video of Tiffany for mobiles but it was never shown as they usually do. Priya is on now and is topless with a selection of nude images being shown of her that can be purchased, hopefully with the black censor boxes removed. With a 10pm start for this freeview channel (95) and 11pm for channel 96 they cannot be operating under the direction of an Ofc@m licence. RE: Ofcom Discussion - mr mystery - 13-06-2011 22:34 Well i have not been watching much of the Cellcast channels just lately on Sky or freeview , but obviously the feed is the same for Sky and freeview so the content is the same , i watched "SMILE TV 3" Ch95 on freeview tonight from 10pm the same as GPP so can't say much more than he has , the visual content is of a adult nature , the phone numbers are Adult chat lines and semi naked girls are shown on screen , in fact everything a channel using a Ofcom UK teleshopping licence can't show before 12am on freeview , so obviously it's not just "babestation" freeview CH96 that has a Dutch licence , freeview CH95 must have one as well , i still think all the Cellcast freeview channels have a Dutch non Ofcom regulated licence and probably all the Sky channels too . Can you give a link to the info you have given were it's says Sky channels 909 and 910 operate with a UK Ofcom regulated Teleshopping licence ? . I cant find anywhere that it says Sky channels 909 and 910 were granted the new Ofcom Adult Teleshopping licence that the babe channels had to apply for last September . "IF" that is the case then only the freeview channels apart from Sky channel 906 is not regulated by Ofcom , so contrary to popular belief the freeview channels are not tamed down and have no Ofcom restrictions unlike Sky so could possibly show harder content but are prevented from doing so because 2 out of the 3 Sky channels that show the same feed as freeview have a more restricting Ofcom licence , so maybe Cellcast should go freeview only so that they can show harder content if they wish without having to worry about Ofcom fines and a possible Licence revoked that would happen if they do the same on their Ofcom regulated Sky channels . So all the time Sky viewers were moaning about BS being tamed down because of freeview it was actually the other way round ie freeview is tamed down to accommodate the more restricted licenced Sky channels . RE: Ofcom Discussion - mr mystery - 14-06-2011 12:51 I have been informed by "admin" via PM that both Sky channels 909 and 910 both have Ofcom licences NOT Dutch , so it does look like the freeview shows with a non Ofcom regulated licence have to be tamed down to Ofcom standards even though they have the Dutch Adult content licence because they also show the same more restricted Ofcom regulated feed as Sky channels 909 and 910 , so "Digital Dave" is correct when he says Sky channel 906 is the only Cellcast channel with a Dutch licence on Sky . But it does look like both BS and BSXtra on freeview both have a non Ofcom regulated Dutch licence because both channels show and advertise adult content services before 12am , this is not allowed under a Ofcom licence . {edit} I believe "Glamour Chase" on freeview CH97 is the only Cellcast run channel that doesn't have a Dutch licence , freeview channel 97 is owned and licenced by Square 1 Management and not Cellcast . RE: Ofcom Discussion - deejer - 14-06-2011 22:46 Well i cant see any problem with full frontal nudity on the fta channels as long they dont overstep the boundarys of decency..eg playing with or using of those things that vibrate...or are they scared the the fta adult channels might be closed down. RE: Ofcom Discussion - eccles - 15-06-2011 00:00 Fact is the European channels toned down a few years back. If anythink Sky channels are in a stronger position because Sky has proprietary encryption. Only Sky customers can receive the signal and Sky boxes have assorted adult controls. At a stroke this eliminates the risk of crossborder complaints or uncontrolled channel access, unlike the Euro FTA channels that can be received by anyone from Iceland to Turkey. Strong technical controls exist, the only issue is the UK regulators attitude. Teleshopping (also known as home shopping, advertorials, infomercials, etc) is a particular form of advertising involving the broadcast of direct offers to the public with a view to the supply of goods or services in return for payment. Spot advertising and teleshopping for other products and services are permitted on teleshopping services up to same limits as for editorial services. For the avoidance of doubt, teleshopping services may not broadcast material (other than permitted advertising) which does not contain direct offers to the public.
