this is tense , will Middlesex or Yorkshire deny Somerset their 1st ever County Championship? Middlesex has won!

And the County Championship is won with a hat-trick from bowler Toby Roland-Jones.
What a way to win the title.

Just think that people in high places want to get rid of 4 day cricket and instead have more T20 competitions.

South Africa have bowled Australia for just 85 on the second day of their test match - that gives us hope for when we next go to Australia

South Africa claim series win over Australia bowling them out for 161 with Kyle Abbott taking 6-77 therefore SA winning second Test by an innings and 80 runs it is Australia's fifth successive Test defeat and only their fourth series loss on home soil in 24 years We could be in for a tasty battle when we face the Proteas at home if we beat India, then it is likely we would have to beat SA for No.1 spot the way things are going

Rod Marsh has stood down as chairman of selectors for Australia following defeat to South Africa

SA captain Faf du Plessis has been charged with ball tampering during Second test win over Australia - and not the first time he has done it!!

Me thinks it is time the ICC looked at ways making penalties for this transgression is stiffer

I see that 4 of the England players have made the ICC team of the year (seriously)

Alistair Cook, Joe Root, Johnny Bairstow and Ben Stokes

And Cook was named as the captain of the team.

The applicable period was September '15 to September '16 so the last series wasn't taken into consideration.
