Neither could get close to any of the Italian central midfielders. RE: World Cup 2014 Brasil - mikedafc - 15-06-2014 01:46 This is his third World Cup and still no goals, will agree that he should be playing through the middle rather than out wide but he still had at least one gilt edged chance and he missed the target tonight (15-06-2014 00:19 )malicious fan Wrote:(15-06-2014 00:11 )The Robot Devil Wrote: In fairness, anyone can score goals against San Marino, Poland, & Montenegro. Doing it in the actual tournament is key. And Rooney has failed YET AGAIN.ffs r u lot for real lol seriously y his rooney getting the blame? was he playing in his right postion? y play him on the left? y shud he defend, he has great workrate, the number of tackles u see him make and clearances he makes in his own box and me as an england fan i dont wana see rooney defend i wana see him attack ffs cause the uva teams problems. play rooney thru the middle he will get goals, his best season at man utd when he scored alot he was playing thru the middle. hes how old 28 29, and hes prob in the next few years going to be man utd and englands record all time goalscorer and u lot r making out hes wank lmao and he doesnt play san marino week in week out seriously ffs. play ur best players in their best positions, this has similarities of ericsson'x treatment of scholes, our best player at the time and playing him on the left RE: World Cup 2014 Brasil - mikedafc - 15-06-2014 02:27 brilliant couple of minutes after Drogba came on Bony and Gervinaho both scoring to put Ivory Coast 2-1 up RE: World Cup 2014 Brasil - Joey 27 - 15-06-2014 02:41 (15-06-2014 00:41 )Rammyrascal Wrote: from what I watched of the England match, thought they played well and if they play like that against Uruguay and costa rica, they should qualifyso you thought england had "a good night" then rammy (15-06-2014 01:45 )whorelover Wrote: Rooney, Baines and Johnson are all being deservedly criticised, I just wish someone would do the same about Gerrard and Henderson, neither of them had any influence, henderson had one decent shot saved but that's about it. We're shit, end of. RE: World Cup 2014 Brasil - lovebabes56 - 15-06-2014 06:48 I know Alan Green said we could qualify out of this group with 4 pts by beating Uruguay and getting a draw with C. Rica If We are going to achieve even that target, our defence needs to be way way better than that. If Baines had been a bit more aware of Balotelli earlier for their second we would have got a draw, but even now I don't even think 4pts would be be even enough. Uruguay will give us a beating and we'll suffer the embarrassment of being beaten by C. Rica like Scotland did all them years ago. Seriously, we ran out of ideas after they scored to go 2-1 up. Hodgson's gamble almost paid off, but I wouldn't even pick Rooney for Uruguay he was well short of what we expected from him and we also need someone in defence to make sure they are tighter, plus we let them control the game when they were on the ball but standing off them when they should have been tackling, ain't going to win us games. Plus our passing became sloppy towards the end. I think an early exit beckons yet again. Once again we get let down by players being played out of position. |
