Probably will need to drag Trump out in handcuffs or straitjacket and with Cummings gone, that'll be two cunts out. Tongue Tongue Big Grin

Toris lining up to disown Cummings

Looks Like he'll be a political Billy No Mates soon Tongue and I think he committed political suicide with that press conference that time & Boris must have known that Whatever shit the cunt came up with the public wouyldn't buy and should have made sure he was gone next day ans if he done that the public would be happier. He stuck by Cummings way too long and the in fighting now will probably cost Johnson his Premiership at some point. I genuinely do wonder how much longer the Govt can last and whther it will make through to the next election and if they take a hammering at the next locals then surely their fate is sealed.

He appeared a very forlorn figure emerging from Number 10 with his box in his hands having cleared his desk.
My belief here is that the weak link is Cumming's boss. Unconventional spirit requires a different approach to leadership.

Boris Johnson strikes me as the Billy-no-mates of national leaders.

He has always been such a self-serving opportunist that he’s never assembled the kind of political “gang” that Thatcher, Blair and Cameron had.

The Brexiteers transparently thought of him as a useful idiot. The establishment Toris just thought of him as an idiot — not even that useful.

Since his days as London Mayor, Johnson has tended to lean heavily on a few powerful officials — Lister, Milton, Cummings — more than political allies. It probably all stems from his renowned laziness. Whoever does the work makes the decisions.

“I’ll take care of this Mr Prime Minister. You just put your feet up, have a drink, and watch Strictly ... while I quietly, ahem, sell the NHS and deny food to hungry children.

It doesn't really matter which version of events regarding Cummings is true.

Boris's leadership is a shambles either way.

Labour NEC has voted to reinstate Corbyn and with it shatter it's party's flailing reputation of being an anti racist party

RE: General News Thread - southsidestu - 18-11-2020 16:06

Starmer showing some spine and refusing to reinstate the whip

The Labour Party was found to have acted unlawfully on two counts & the responsibility for those acts were laid at the leadership. Had you or I or any other member of the public been found to have acted unlawfully on two counts would a judge let us off scot free ? To say that Corbyn should not face consequences for his unlawful acts, suggest that there should be one rule for politicians & one rule for the rest of us. It is a blatant hypocrisy & one that would lose public trust in the party & politics in general. It must not be allowed to stand.

Corbyn released a lengthy statement citing his regrets, but still no apology

Compare the market hass been fined £18m for unlawful practices between 2015 and 2017 over home insurance pricing which stopped other platform offering lower prices.

The answer to your question is yes a judge would let you off scot free, because being found to have acted unlawfully in a case like this isn't a criminal offence. You're confused between two different concepts, unlawful and criminal.

There isn't one rule for politicians and another for the rest of us, as you suggest. The action taken in cases like this is always the same, an unlawful acts notice which must be complied with and can be enforced by a court if necessary.
