Stage21 today ends the tour on the Champs-Elysées Paris.
GC winner will be Denmark's Jonas Vingegaard from the Jumbo - Visma team.
(I've seen some weird pronunciations of his name this week)

But there will be a sprint finish to be awarded

Yves Lampaert must have forgotten to eat his weetabix yesterday, where was he after blowing everyone away on the stage 1 TT? Strange.

It's stranger when people produce incredible performances day after day....

Call me cynical, but, The Drugs Don't Work by The Verve springs to mind.

There was talk from the studio that the 2024 race won't be finishing in Paris, as it would clash with the Olympics.

They suggested that it may be completing the course in Nice.

Tbh they could Finsh it in Paris by somehow carrying the Olympic flame intio the stadium and then traditionally finish on the Champs Elysees

I get that this thread was for the men's TDF, but It would surely be wrong to not to recognise the first Womens' TDF Femme over the last 8 days.

Personally, I loved every second of it (except the constant referrals in one form or another to just how 'astonishing' it was that the girls were doing it!) I saw nothing to differentiate it from the TDF just gone - ok this time around just the eight days I referred to instead of twenty as with the men - but throw in the climbs in the final days, and the gap was narrowed somewhat! Particularly todays final stage which included the infamous la planches des belles filles which was an absolute monster that the men have climbed a number of times on the tour (and some have failed too as well)

Congrats goes to Annemeik Van Vleuten on her win, the first to take the Yellow Jersey on to the final podium for the women, and the conqueror of 'La Planches'

The 2023 tour starts today with a hilly 182km course in Spain.
It starts at Bilbao and returns there for the finish.
