the only reason why Rooney was playing on the left is because Hodgson has to do something with him the problem with rooney is he only wants to play when its in the center. where as most of the other players in the team will at least attempt to play in any postion where they are needed Rooney has had 2 many chances in the past i think a lot of fans havent forgiven him for his outburst at the fans in the 2010 world cup so when he has a bad run of form they give him what for im sorry but i would drop him and give lalana his postion on the left.
if he was dropped it would 1 make him either fight for his place or 2 he would quit either way problem solved

Having said that he did make the goal from been out wide lol and to be fair not a lot of people could have picked out that beautiful pass into Daniel put on a plate for him by wazza! So Rooney has had unfair critics last night in my eyes as he was the one who put it on a plate and gave all us English fans something to shout about....
The Media slating Rooney over and over again is simply not fair on him it's got to be messing with his head!
For me I would play 4-3-3 Rooney playing the out and out striker get Sterling just to his left and Sturrige to the right.... Playing Stevie G, Henderson and Milner in the middle.

You're talking shite! He did play out wide and never complained you fool... The point is Rooney out wide is not his game he hasn't the pace to beat a player!

Rooney did play up front for half of the second half in his favourite position, He missed a sitter, stole the ball off Barkley and messed that chance up, and Messed up a corner....
You're manager is poor, he's stuck in 1980's and under him you will do nothing
and he hasn't got the balls to drop Rooney..

Comments like that make you look like someone of rather low intelligence.
Roy Hodgson will make whatever decisons he wants to, just as he was quick to drop Rio Ferdinand, just as he didn't take Ashley Cole, just as he didn't try and recall John Terry, just as he no longer starts with Frank lampard etc etc. He's made it clear that Rooney is nothing special as far as he's concerned and is just another England player.
If Hodgson wants to drop Rooney he'll drop Rooney and if you think otherwise it's because you're a fool.

As for Hodgeson dropping Cole, stupid decision as he's one of the best left backs in the world
