Mayweather showed he's a true champion... Great performance from Floyd.

Let's hope the Pacquiao fight goes ahead...

I was lucky enough to be at the fight. In the words of Russ Abbott 'What an atmosphere' I couldn't help but be impressed by mayweather & i'm not a big fan of his. He got through the 2nd round then boxed mosley's head off. You could see after 6 rounds mosley wouldn't get near him again.

Now please floyd get in the ring with pacman. It's the only fight worth watching in the world.

They recently missed another deadline to make the fight happen...

Pacquiao's crew said the fight could have been agreed, but Floyd failed to meet the deadline. Mayweather's crew said no negotiations ever took place... bladewave

Mayweather should just retire, there's only one fight left for him & he won't take it as he wants to retire undefeated so he should just fuck off & stop fannying around & wasting people's time!!!

RE: Boxing - cainan - 15-08-2010 15:41

Haye fears the Klitschko's....simple as. Im british but i cant stand any of our current champions.

Khan - Maidana would punch his jaw straight off his head. Cant stand the cocky little bastard.

Haye - Ducker.

Very sad that Povetkin couldnt fight Wlad.....

RE: Boxing - groundnpound - 16-08-2010 17:00

Gotta disagree with you Cainan about David Haye.I thought he was desperate to fight them both...
He would destroy both of them im sure.

RE: Boxing - El Zorro - 03-09-2010 17:49

Hey just found the boxing thread. Whooop whoop!!!

Here's my two cents on what I've read....

Both Floyd and Pacman should get in the ring with no excuses, no deadlines and on an even playfield. Random test should be compulsory and that's not saying that Pac is on PED's... Bottom line is that 20 years ago Chavez and Whitaker got the balls to fight each other why they can not do it??? Oh and get Arum and Golden Boy out of here!!!

If the fight happens I think lil Floyd will take the Pac-monster to the school (8-4). Styles make fights and -apart from the fact that Manny is a southpaw- this is textbook for Floyd.

A real challenge for Floyd is Paul Williams, he should make that fight if he really wants to be consider a GOAT. Or Maybe Sergio Martinez at lightmiddleweight

Pacquiao should have fought Juan Manuel Marquez inmediatly after the second fight to see once and for all who was the best of them two. He put JMM 4 times on his trunks but Marquez won more rounds in overall and showed better ring generalship. Bob Arum didn't want the fight to take place. He knows JMM style for Pacman is all wrong. Now is to late, Manny is way to big. Shame on Arum!!!

Dont mind Haye's bravado, but he's not looking good at the mo. It seems that he's ducking either K brother. Either way I think he'll loose both fights, although he has the puncher's chance against Wladimir. Vitaly wil KO him under 5 rounds. Now the best fights that can be made at heavyweight includes the Haymayker. Putting him againts Tomas Adamek or Chris Arreola and you'll see fireworks.

I'm looking forward to the following fights...

Carl Froch vs Arthur Abraham
Rafael Marquez vs Juanma Lopez
Juan M Marquez vs Michael Katsidis

Hopefully they will deliver a Fight of the Year candidate. So far only Giovani Segura vs Ivan Calderon and Froch vs Kessler had semi delivered.

Well, I think this was more than 2 cents.....

Just like to wish Ricky Burns good luck tomorrow night.
He is fighting on sky sports against Roman Martinez for the WBO super featherweight title.

He is from Coatbridge which is where im from and i am also a friend of his brothers so all the best. although in my opinion Martinez is just a bit too strong for ricky.

Mosley has not been the only person who has dazzed Mayweather in that way. "Chop Chop" Corley and Zab Judah putting him on queer street as well. However the sugar man was the only one able to do it more than once in the same round. Shane's error was not using the double jab. He was still looking for another boomb and the he just gassed out. Lucky for him Mayweather decided to carry him out the last 3 rounds.

Funny enough this is not the first time that lil Floyd respond with agression when he felt he was on trouble. Mayweather toughes fight today it was his first agains Jose Luis Castillo. El Temible, was able to force a back a and forth fight after the first 4 rounds and many people still think that Mayweather lost that fight (I scored it 7-4-1 for Castillo). If you have the chance to see the fight on youtube check rounds 10 and 11. At some point it feels like Castillo is just about to pummel Mayweather in to submission, but Floyd didn't run. He stayed right there trading. The second fight wast similar although I believe Floyd won it (7-5 or 8-4)
