A surprising set of divisional games over the weekend as not many would have expected Alex Smith to lead the 49ers back (twice) in the last four minutes of that game.
No surprises in New England where the Patriots put Tebow and the Broncos in their place. Tebow is about the poorest passer I've ever seen playing QB in the NFL despite all the hype about him being a winner this is a team game and good teams need QBs who throw good passes.
Ravens were a bit meh against the Texans whom I thought actually played quite well but made critical mistakes in terms of turnovers with the muffed punt and the interceptions. Foster is a beast at running back though...
The Packers were just off on offense for seemingly the first time in a long time at home (they were on the road when they lost to KC in the regular season). The Giants made big plays - the hail mary at the end of the first half was a huge play - when it mattered and the Packers made mistakes when it mattered.
The NFL is a glorious sports league because of the commitment to competitive balance and parity which means that even the biggest favourites don't always win. On to the conference championships next week and a Super Bowl between the best remaining offense in New England and the best remaining defense in San Fran? I think so but that's why they play the games - to see who wins!!

just been officially announced. this years nfl international series game at wembley stadium will take place on sunday octiber 28th 2012 and will be between the St Louis Rams (home team) vs New England Patriots
St Louis have agreed to come over in 2013 and 2014 too

Patriots win the AFC Conference Championship 23-20, after the Baltimore kicker missed a sitter 20 secs from time.
The 325lb nosetackle Vince Wilfork is phenomenal..

Good game & not dominated by Offence for a change.With the Pats Defence playing better they'll take some stopping at the Super Bowl.

Niners could use some decent wide receivers & a class QB.I'm gutted a couple of special team errors cost us,but the inability to convert on 3rd downs points to the passing game.
