Well we've arrived at the first of those matches. Whoever wins the Ukraine-England match will go on to win the group, that's how it looks to me. I think Montenegro are out of contention for first place UNLESS they can win at Wembley in October. I think a draw betwen England and Ukraine leaves the group very delicately balanced and England would most likely have to make sure they win both of the home matches to come in order to top the group.

I don't think a draw on Tuesday would be doing England any favours

England need to win this game realistically, a draw is no good, finishing 2nd in the group you will have to play in playoffs and will probably Play either, France, Portugal, Russia, Spain, Croatia, Belgium....

If you can't win when it matters against Ukraine and Montenegro then I would not put money on you winning against any one of those you could draw in a playoff...

Also you would stand a better chance if Hodgeson didn't take injured players with him in his squad, why pick Sturridge when he was already injured? Also he had the option of brnging in a replacement but hasn't...

Agbonlahor has had a good start to the season and wasn't even looked at....

A draw would be a great result. A draw clinches the group for England if they win their last 2 home games.

Winning the group is what counts. Nothing else matters.

No, a draw is what England need. Then qualification by winning the group remains in England's own hands.

The only thing that really matters in this match is that England don't lose, because if they do Ukraine will almost certainly win the group.

No.... a win is what England need, a draw is minimum expected..... England can not affprd to slip up, if you are aiming for a draw against a team like Ukraine there is really not much point in England going to the world cup if you think drawing with Ukraine is a good result...

England can afford a draw. As already explained, a draw would be a great result. A draw clinches the group for England if they win their 2 home games in October.

Providing we win the last two games at home that is. Knowing England we will win in Ukraine and then struggle in their home games.
I'm sure we will qualify, after all it would not be a World Cup if the England team wasn't there to put us through abject misery.
