Good news for England today or rather England women, who thrashed New Zealand by 7 wickets with 16 balls to spare to get to the final.
Perhaps the mens team ought to take some pointers from them

West Indies scored a massive 205-4.Gayle 75 not out.They hit 14 sixes & 13 fours ! Australia slumped to 43-6.It looks all over.

West Indies win by 74 runs.Australia all out for 131 in 16.4 overs.Australia's captain Bailey hit 63 off 29 balls in vain.

West Indies were down & out at 32-2 after 1
overs,but big hitting from Samuals with 78 saw them to 137-6.Samuals took a liking to the usually economical Malinga,whose 4 overs cost 54.Sri Lanka never kept up with the run rate & fell from 48-1 to 101 all out & a 36 run defeat.

West Indies beat Sri Lanka for the first time in 10 attempts in all international matches and for the first time ever in a T20 match. It was also Sri Lanka's fourth successive defeat in the final of a world tournament. Marlon Samuels played the big innings for the West Indies and hit Malinga for 5 sixes, when previously no batsman had hit him for more 1 six in a T20 innings. In 39 matches previously Malinga had only conceded 7.3 runs per over in T20s, but this time his 4 overs went for 54. It was a good recovery by the West Indies from only having scored 32 runs at the halfway mark - 32 is the fourth lowest score after 10 overs ever recorded in international T20s.
