Now the umpires down after being hit by a return through into the stumps.

Keaton Jennings is a South African who is eligable to play for England.
He's also bowls as well. So the England team consists of all rounders in some form (spinners, pace and keepers) except the captain

England ended the day at 288-5. With Jenning making 112 on debut

England lost a couple of wickets in the first hour today, whilst adding 44. Do we know why a spinner was left out of the side and Jake Ball played instead? Given how much the ball is spinning this morning it seems odd, but perhaps England didn't have much faith in Batty or Ansari?

England 385/8 at lunch. Early wickets for India today, but with 97 added this morning you have to say it's been England's session.

England 400 all out.
All 10 wickets fell to the Indian spinners

All a question now of whether England can get Kohli, Pujara and Jadeja out relatively quickly............

England look to be a spinner short and had Joe Root bowling at the end of the day, as India close on 146/1. Having 6 frontline bowlers with 4 seamers looks odd in these conditions, but Ansari's injured and Batty not made much impact, although Liam Dawson the replacement for Ansari was available.

India's morning, adding 101 for the loss of Pujara, but England must be considered to have taken the afternoon session, with India adding 101 again but England claiming 4 wickets. With India now on 348/6 the match is nicely in the balance.
