Stay away from visiting the survivors Theresa, one brush with the angel of death was more than enough for them.

If he'd started wearing his pink jackets a lot sooner, he might have done Surprised

As for Lily Allen - I think it does come across as surprising but then some celebs DO happen to live in London. They said the other day that Paloma Faith came down to donate stuff; Adele paid a private visit; Simon Cowell is planning a charity single; Lily Allen was born in Hammersmith, which is near to Kensington etc

Only 1 of those 4 is at all dubious Rolleyes

The peoples stories WHO ACTUALLY LIVE IN THE BLOCK is more than enough.

Nor do I want to hear, oh it's Mays faulk the sprinklers weren't working, and isn't she terrible not visiting the victems.

It's not a celeb thing, it's not a political thing it's a human disaster.

Jamie Oliver opened a whole restaurant to help feed the survivors, and still has two chefs working at the scene. What a cunt!

Local celebs are in a no-win situation. Do something and they get trolled for being self publicists, do nothing and they get trolled for not caring.
Has reporting on the celebs been at the expense of speaking to the actual victims? I doubt it. There's only so much victim reporting you can do, in a situation like this, before it crosses the line into hounding traumatised people.

You're right, it is a human disaster. But don't let that stop you sticking the boot in where it's not deserved.

Twat.

For Fuck Sake whats with all the lefties being up in arms about a supposed D notice stopping media telling people how many are dead its all a load of bollocks. even if there was a D Notice its not legally binding and even if it was the media wouldnt take any notice of it because of ratings

Indeed. It's a classic situation of being damned if they do and damned if they don't.

Liam Gallagher is still complaining about Noel not doing the Manchester charity gig.

agree with both of you. celebrities are in a no win situation, especially if they are from the area of this tragedy. if they do something like Rita Ora has, they get accused of doing it for themselves for self publicity, if they don't do anything they get accused of not caring.

ive no problem with celebs doing things to help.

the company running the tower block has been very insensitive today hand delivering letters about anti social behaviour to nearby tower blocks.

also there is a massive protest right now outside the offices of Kensington & Chelsea council. also Teresa May sent Andrea Leadsom today to the tower block and she understandably got heckled about Teresa May's visit yesterday

^again tbf, i'm sure they were sent out the day of the fire (the letters dated the 14th) and were already in the post. it's things like this that i object to. there's enough wrong in this terrible incident without exaggerating things and creating problems where there are none. focus on the legit problems ffs!

(this is not aimed at you rammy, it's aimed at who ever made the twitter post and others in the media)
