After a resolute defensive effort through extra time, England have scraped into the last eight via a penalty shoot out (4-2).
Nigeria were by far the better side overall and hit the bar twice but failed to take their opportunities and paid the price.
England are extremely fortunate to still be in the tournament however.

She is lucky England won, or she may have faced the backlash Beckham faced in 98. What she did was much worse, definitely a red card.

Playing like that i think they will be though next round but out in the Semi-Finals against France i can't see them going any further.
