Ep 3 “The End Is the Beginning” Season 1

This Ep was great loved the flash back as to what happened with Picard and seeing the starfleet uniforms then they looked great. It’s hard getting used to the new uniforms as look more like the Star Trek Voyager ones. This Ep they spent more time giving new characters a much needed back story and depth which for me really helped. Seeing Hugh again and the story arc with the Romulans and the fight at Picard chateau but it’s the ending about her being the destroyer and Picards famous line bought back goose bumps in a good way.

^^
Just finished watching “The End Is The Beginning” & fully agree with you, a great episode including the return of Hugh & loved the Star Trek: The Motion Picture theme playing at the end

I'm still enjoying this, although it actually feels more Dark Matter (a series cruelly dropped) than Star Trek at times. Loving Michelle Hurd's performance so far, and also seeing 'JL' lol getting more like Jean-Luc Picard again now he's stopped living his Chateau lie to himself. The only thing really bugging me though is how easily Soji falls for this Narek, are we really supposed to believe he's so irresistible? Unless she's playing us all that is.

Jonathan Frakes is supposed to direct the next couple of episodes I hear.

I'm really enjoying Picard too, liking the slow burn of the plot, the characters both main and supporting, also a Romulan with an Irish accent (brilliantly played by Orla Brady) really makes me smile more than I should.

Also agree about Dark Matter, some great characters and interesting storylines, cruelly dropped as you say KerrAvon, especially with the fantastic cliffhanger ending to series 3 that never got resolved.

Just checked IMDB & according to them, Jonathan Frakes is directing the next 2 episodes which also see Jeri Ryan return to Star Trek

On Joseph Mallozzi's weblog, last year I think, he started releasing the scripts to how Dark Matter season 4 would've gone down, including the resolution of the cliffhanger. Yeah really miss that show.

Looking forward to Jeri Ryan popping up in Picard. If you play Star Trek Online, her new iteration of Seven Of Nine already pops up on there, and she's seems wonderfully sarcastic lol.
