Whichever it is...says something that media sources can neither agree on the age of the patient involved or the gender!

Patient was in and out of that hospital which suggests something along the lines of cancer patient perhaps...whatever the condition was you’re looking at someone with a compromised immune system at an advanced age, sadly the likelihood of such an outcome was a high one.

I’m still not going to set my hair on fire, have a hysterical fit, race to the nearest supermarket and swipe all the toilet paper though like some totally selfish muppets are doing however! annoyed

They did say the person concerned was being treated for other health issues..

and the hand gel sanitiser (certain store are reportedly restricting it t to two bottles per customer) can't find it anywhere, surprised soap isn't being stockpiled...

Thinking by Sunday night, we could be looking at something like 120 cases maybe?

People stockpiling bog rolls and...wait for it....beans!!

Not much thought going into this is there?!

I see there are concerns that in the US the number of cases is being suppressed by the lack of testing kits and a seeming unwillingness to test elderly people who have died to see if it was the virus that led to their death

I think it's likely that things will be worse than they need to be in the US due to the distrust of the media and experts, Faux Noise is gonna have blood on its hands if it doesn't take this more seriously, we have our media scaremongering, they have theirs being dismissive and peddling conspiracy.
They do also have the font of all knowledge telling them it's not as bad as WHO are saying and that it's more likely to be a fraction of 1%. Science...bigly Rolleyes

The figures vary from region to region obviously but just one to put out there for those who’d like their minds put at a little bit of ease.

South Korea - mortality rate is now down from just over 1% to less than 0.7% - standard of health care? people washing their hands? People using common sense? Whatever the reason, that’s one in the eye for the ‘sky is falling’ hysterics out there who are stockpiling bog rolls and beans Rolleyes

Congratulations idiots...you may or may not get coronavirus but you’ll definitely get a good dose of the shits.Bounce

It does make me laugh really as someone who’s got OCD and a massive germaphobe who uses hand wash regularly as well as wipes to clean surfaces such as phones the fact most people it seems only use those things when told to as an attempt to potentially avoid catching a potentially deathly virus yet during the height of the flu season for example the very same stuff is never sold out even though using said stuff during flu season would probably help avoiding its spread. I’m guessing cos there’s a flu jab you can have plus the fact flu only really kills elderly or those with pre existing health conditions people don’t worry about it quite so much. It’s weird the same advice given to stop this thing is essentially the same advice given to stop the spread of ALL sickness/illnesses, basic hygiene.

I’m not sure what to think about the whole situation, one minute I think it’s nothing more than a stronger flu the next I think it’s the Black Death almost, thanks Media. Plus the fact that China, the birth place of the thing whether in a lab or natural, are the ones people are looking to and there about as open as a nuns legs.
