Has Patrik Schick already secured the goal of the tournament with his long distance strike against Scotland? It was measured at 49.7m away from the goal, the furthest distance ever recorded for a goal scored at the Euros.

love tob see a graph showing it, that would be probably pretty close to half way line I reckon. I think Friday it could be different game completely. Czechs were probably too clssy for them today.

Great header but we should be stopping the cross and Hendry should be playing the ball wide instead of taking a shot which lead to Czech's second goal great lob it has.to be said

Second goal really deflated the crowd for a while.

Need to more clinical with the chances we created

19 Shots to 10
4 on target to 7
58% Possession
469 passes to 347
76% pass accuracy to 68%

We could of won that game but a lack of quality with our chances & two unforced errors were punished with the quality we lacked

There was an element of luck against us with Hendry hitting the bar, Armstrong's shot deflected just over & the Cech goalkeeper's fingertip save to stop the own goal, anyone of those could of swung momentum in our favour but that does not excuse the poor return on shots on target & the unforced errors

Those long distance lobs always tend to pop up on the shortlists for goal of the tournament / goal of the season / goal of the decade competitions, but they never win.

Maradona had a couple, Alvarado Recoba had a doozie for Inter Milan, and of course there were the famous Beckham and Rooney ones.

I think they never win cos it is normally as much about the goalkeeping mistake as it is about the goal scorer's talent.

The most amazing thing about this one was that a long range goal was scored, with Scotland on the pitch, and Charlie Adam didn’t score it! … He seemed to try it on in every other game for Blackpool ?

Here's a notable stat from the goalless draw between Spain and Sweden. Completed passes: Spain 830, Sweden 89.

Yes 85% possession for Spain too.

As for Scotland, we should have won with the chances we had, but was our goalkeeper really supposed to be standing almost at the centre circle?

And if Sweden won that game there would be absolute nightmares.

Only interesting thing to come out of today is we have just found the next Suarez after Rudiger bites Pogba , Suarez would be a proud man.

I think Rudiger must have watched too many Suarez videos
