Great toss to lose, generally it will swing in the morning session, so the first hour will be important tomorrow. Great job by the openers, but conditions were better to bat. Hameed looked more like Sehwag in comparison to Sibley, in reality, he was just batting at a steady Test Match tempo. Plenty of quick singles from the pair, showing the importance of turning the strike over.
Looking further ahead, I hope England don't rue their selection. If the pitch goes flat, which can happen, we have no X-Factor bowler, Mahmood may well have provided that. I'm not sure Curran's 78 mph swing fits the bill. Something is wrong when your quickest bowler is 39 years of age.

Well england got past the 400 mark,worrying middle order stutters. Thak goodness for Root, top four did well now we need contributoons from buttler, bairstow,ali and curren.
423/8 should win this one especially if they can add 20/30 tomorrow morning.

England are probably being over defensive and will want to bat as long as possible.

The pitch isn't doing much, bat on, only declare if the scoring rate drops. India will put up a fight, they are more than capable of batting themselves into a lead.
