This guy has some serious bowling skills (yes only scotland) First two deliveries aside (happens to the best) he has pace shape and control, together with decent height and what I call ball spring (not mere bounce) but elevation from a fuller length from his delivery 'wrist position, snap etc'.

If I was a county DOC, I would be grabbing his agents contact details in a hurry!! Or his own if he is lacking an agent at this point!! Given Namibia's relative lack of action, he would be available to any such team for far longer than an expensive 'big name' alternative

Namibia deserve their place in the bright lights of this sport. Should be included in an odi series with SA in whatever country they are touring in!! No more trying to keep them (or any of the so - called associates) in 'their place' In actual fact, all associates should be included 'piggy backing' in any tours their nearest test nation neighbours are undertaking!!

I wouiold pretty much agree with what you said. There is, I think a League championship of sorts that the Associates compete in, but I do think that
the associate teams should be given an opportunity to play more ODI/T20 matches against the test nations as it would help them to gauge where they are in terms skill level, etc. same goes with Rughy Union (& probably Rugby League too) the main nations in those sports should also offer matches for other nations in the Autumn internationals to lesser known international teams in those sports so they get decent coverage.
The T20 world Cup and Cricket World Cup probably are the only chances the smaller nations get to play the test nations but the test nations should start looking to give them more matches in their schedule somehow.

Tymal Mills is out of the rest of the tournament with a thigh strain.
Reserve Reece Topley will replace him in the England squad.

^How big a blow is it?

RE: ICC T20 Mens World Cup 2021 - Snooks - 03-11-2021 20:36

Mills was designated as a death bowler to bowl at the end of an innings.
He has been a bit inconsistent overall but it is not good to lose him.

Despite that England do have other death bowling options so while a blow it is not the end of the world.

Agree wholeheartedly on every level!! No more talking, concrete proposals from the boards throughout the game. Should be able to rely upon the ICC to manage and implement, but unfortunately - no chance!

Death bowling has long been an issue for England, Archer was the answer until his injury, along with Jordan, Mills offered extreme pace, slower balls & left-arm variety, & is a regular in the closing overs. Topley could leapfrog the other bowlers in the squad as he is the closest to Mills, only not as quick, but his height makes him difficult to face. Tom Curran fell out of favour after some poor performances, & only made the squad after brother Sam withdrew through injury, however, he was showing signs of rediscovering the form that he showed earlier in his England career. If it's out & out pace that they want then Wood, if fit could play, he has bowled at the death at times, for England. If they were to go for Willey, he would, spare the opening overs, & Woakes would have to bowl at the death, this would be least likely.
Alternatively they could leave out a batsman, more than likely Malan, & bring in 2 seam bowlers to cover more options.
