^ I can't see that happening unless the prisoners themselves agree to go, as it will deprive them of their family visits.

Yeah mind you if i had the choice of a british prison or a estonian one if they are like others in scandanavia i would choose estonia i think if most had the choice of a norwegian one would all wanna go

This is why I didn't vote Labour, to me they're just tories with a different colour (red instead of blue) and are using the same rhetoric etc as the tories used over past 14yrs

I don't agree with scrapping it.

To be honest, I would have thought that IF (and it's probably a donut sized 'IF') we hadn't voted for either Labour or Tory the last two or three elections and voted for a coalition Government instead with no party not having any majority overall control, I reckon we'd still hear the the same crappy rhetoric from all of them.

Is there any way they could make the Allowance comre under council rule and let the Councils in each area be responsible for it's implementation??? Wouldn't that work better?

All the clap trap that comes out of these so called leaders of government that seem to me, just say what everyone wants to hear, just so they can get into power and when they finally do, they shit on everything they promised or said they would do - bunch of deceiving bastards imo. bladewave

The smarmiest cunt to ever lead our country. Our previous is a very close second.

Standard operating procedure for all parties that.
No party leader is ever going to say what unpopular decisions they are going to make if they get into power. If they did that then people simply won't vote for them. It's always the same clutch question for all the promises made at every election by all parties...... i.e "Ah yes but where's the money coming from?"

Once in power governments face the reality.
Everything is in a shit state. National debt through the roof. Nowhere near enough money and no hope of raising anywhere near enough of it no matter what they do. So they bang on about making tough decisions (usually cuts and removals of benefit) while also blaming the legacy left behind of the previous lot assuming that lot were the other side.

It's the usual blah blah and bluster.
The truth? Nah. No politicians are gonna tell the truth.
The truth merely opens up cans of worms that the establishment would far rather we didn't know about bladewave.

Or if you want the short headline version of the above.....

We're all fucked.
