^^ Lamar Jackson now has the highest career passer rating of 102.6, he is narrowly better than Aaron Rodgers who is listed as the same after rounded to one decimal place. Jackson also has the most career rushing yards by any quarterback.

Texans 19 - 20 Buccs
Despite the Buccs dominating time of possession it still required Mayfield to operate the hurry up offence for a game winning TD drive, which is his super power, he has the most 4th quarter TD's in the league over the last few years.
The Buccs had 25 1st downs, the Texans just 12. The Texans struggled to establish a meaningful running game & therefore the couldn't maximize scoring opportunities, drives broke down, & the had to settle for field goals. Mayfield was the more efficient of the 2 QB's, Stroud was marginally better than 50% on passing attempt/completions, there was little difference with yards gained. The ground game highlighted the greatest point of difference, with the Texans gaining 84 yards, the Buccs more than doubled that tally with 169 yards with the duel threat of White who had 65 yards on 10 carries & Irving 71 yards on 17 carries. Irving also had 6 receptions for 50 yards
3rd down efficiency was another deciding factor, the Texans converted only 2/9 attempts the Buccs 6/14,
Credit has to go to the defensive efforts of both teams, Stroud was sacked 3 times & Mayfield 4. Unusually the game had no turnovers.

Raiders 9 - 20 Chargers
Statistically a relatively even game, the Chargers managed 99 more totals yards on offense. Herbert had a clean game 19-27-242 yds - 2 TD's, Smith had 24-43-180 yards- 3 int's. Geno didn't execute on the night, his inability to find his receivers in the end zone proved costly, he was under pressure from the Chargers pass rush who sacked him 3 times. His first pass attempt was an interception, which set the tone for a poor game, making some bad decisions often throwing into double coverage.
Inside the final 2 minutes of the first half Herbert launched a rocket downfield WR Quentin Johnson who ran the final 20 yards into the end zone for the resulting 60 yard TD which sent them into the break with a 17 - 6 advantage.
A Dicker field goal in the 3rd quarter extent the Chargers lead to 14 points which was cut back to 11 by a Carlson from 37 yards. With 11 minutes still to play the Raiders had time to mount a comeback, but when an ill advised pass into the End Zone was picked off with still just under 6 minutes to play, the game was all but over.

^^ If there's ever such a thing as a near certainty in the NFL then this is it, to kick off week 3 the Bills are 12.5 points favourites, the number crunchers equate it to an 89% win probability for the Bills.
Form Guide
The Bills pulled of a narrow win over the Ravens in week 1 & dominated against a usually tough Jets defence in week 2.
The Dolphins suffered a heavy loss against the Colts in week one & then lost a game against the Pats that they should've won. With pressure mounting for coach McDaniel at trip to the high flying Bills is the last thing they need, it could be worse as the Miami based franchise doesn't usually fare well when playing in cooler climates, visits deep into winter often spell disaster.

Bills 31 - 21 Dolphins
Ultimately another loss for Miami, but they remained competitive throughout against strong opposition. The high scoring Bills were kept in check for most of the game & Miami operated a much more conservative offense than we are use to seeing.
The game was in the balance with 10 minutes remaining in the 4th, Miami had forced the Bills to punt, but a penalty for roughing the kicker put the Bills offense back on the field & they made the most of the reprieve with a Shakir 15 yard TD reception from Allen.
Miami kept fighting & looked in position to tie the game as they approached the Red Zone in the final 3 minutes, only for Tua to be picked off
The resulting Bills drive made the game safe with a field goal.
