This is the current official listing of the Adult channels on Freeview.
As can be seen, neither ch179 nor ch180 will be available on a normal Freeview TV/box since they are both IPTV (internet services)

Hi
We have two new channels but both are IPTV so this creates the need to buy additional equiptment, now for the same money FreeSat would be a better option, cannot see the point.
I also read that Babestation would have an additional channel presume this is one of the 04=>05 am channels does anyone know if this is still happening.
Babestation has been a continous presence and many thanks to them for the entertainment over the years, but the Freeview channels need the competion of other independent channels, over the years we have had several players who came and went and now the only competion is going to be from IPTV and I cannot see the point of that investment.

IPTV seems to make little sense at all to me right now.
Surely the point of going to freeview is to increase your audience. Freeview covers pretty much the entire country, so you have access to pretty much every tv in the land. The number of those tv's that are currently equipped for IPTV is almost certainly a small percentage. The number of those viewers with an IPTV equipped tv who are interested in the babechannels is probably again a small percentage (and the number of those that actually call/text and add to the channels income is again small). So, instead of your reaching the entire country, you are instead targetting a small percentage of a small percentage of viewers.
Why bother, I wouldn't mind betting that the extra revenue this pulls in will struggle to even cover the broadcasting costs!

Look at it another way, if I have a net connection, I have access to an endless stream of whatever type of porn takes my fancy, all uncensored. Why would I bother hooking my tv to that net connection just to watch the tame censored output of the babechannels?

In several years time maybe far more tv's will be IPTV equipped, so it will make more sense for the babechannels to make use of that facility, but right now it seems a pointless exercise which will simply waste their money.

I can't see why xxxpanded are doing it they only have one channel so why go IPTV when only a few people are going to be able to watch it

^^^ I would presume that XXXPanded want to add additional services, which they can do using IPTV - the single Freeview channel becomes a portal to multiple streams.

However, I agree that this technology is far too new and it would be a waste of time and money for a babe channel to bother with it at this stage.

And FlirtXChange from 0530 to 0600.

Regarding percentages of percentages, I've no idea whether evangelical Christians, horseracing followers or the Chinese community offer more sustainable models than appreciators of visible adult chat but some people seem happy to gamble on gaining subscriptions from them.

On a simply theme I don't see why they give you Freeview HD channels when I don't have Freeview HD
