Forget Celtic game, the big match tonight is the Ayrshire Derby Kilmarnock v Ayr United in the League Cup

RE: Scottish Football - SmĀ© - 26-08-2014 18:02

^^ The town I was born in V the town I live in Wink I would have gone if it didn't clash with the Celtic game. Mon the Killie Big Grin

RE: Scottish Football - mikedafc - 26-08-2014 22:12

Kilmarnock won 1-0 with a 69 min McKenzie goal. Hibs came from 2-0 at home to beat Dumbarton 3-2, St Mirren just about managed to beat Dunfermline Ath 2-1.

8,677 at Killie despite Celtic game being on

RE: Scottish Football - mikedafc - 31-08-2014 21:48

Dunfermline Ath, despite the ref being awful won 2-1 at Stranraer made the journey worthwhile

Well it was some weekend in the Scottish Premiership, Fuck me what's happened to the all conquering Celtic, knocked out of the Champions League and lucky to escape from Dens Park with a share of the spoils Wink

The top of the table makes for very interesting reading, Inverness still top with Hamilton followed by Dundee United in Third place with only goal difference between us and them for Second.

Aberdeen got back on the rails again with victory over Partick Thistle, also St Johnstone should say a big thanks to Dundee United for us loaning Brian Graham him out to them only for him to score the only and winning goal against struggling Motherwell. We scored 3 against St Mirrren so they can keep him for the time being as the arabs excellent start to the season continues Big Grin

Fuck me what can you say about Hamilton, 12 points on the board already, a team widely tipped for the drop, going by their current form they should have nothing to fear.

All the results from the Scottish Premiership went as follows.

Aberdeen 2 Partick Thistle 0
Hamilton 4 Ross County 0
Inverness CT 2 Kilmarnock 0
Motherwell 0 St Johnstone 1
St Mirren 0 Dundee United 3
Dundee 1 Celtic 1

Into the Championship and what can you say Hibs are going into freefall, relegated from the Premiership last season and currently occupying 8th spot Surprised

The Hearts bandwagon goes rolling on who have looked so much more convincing than second spot Rangers.

The results from the Championship went as follows.

Alloa 2 Hibernian 1
Cowdenbeath 1 Raith Rovers 3
Dumbarton 1 Livingston 0
Hearts 4 Falkirk 1
Rangers 4 Queen Of Sth 2

I had to laugh the other night, I was watching deadline day on SKY Sports HQ and after seeing the amount of millions being spent south of the border it then showed all the transfers and so-called signings up in our neck of the woods.

Nothing but loan signings and bloody free transfers, it really put's things into perspective laugh

RE: Scottish Football - Doddle - 13-09-2014 20:37

Mark well this day, for today Hamilton Academical are TOP OF THE LEAGUE albeit only on goal difference, after a valiant draw with Dundee Utd (and Inverness slipping up). I really don't think I have ever expected such a day as this to come.

Not only that, but East Stirling managed a 1-0 win over Clyde, too.

Who said 13 was an unlucky number? Wink

RE: Scottish Football - mikedafc - 14-09-2014 20:55

Dunfermline top of League One after 3rd straight win 2-0 v Stenhousmuir, coupled with Ayr losing 2-0 at home to Stranraer
