Given the run Sunak has been on lately with the Spring Statement, his wife's finances & his green card status Sunak may deem it to be the honourable thing (though really its just the least dishonourable) to step down & save his approval ratings

Losing your Chancellor is a hell of a body blow but having him step aside for the same thing you've been punished for and setting a precedent turns it up to 11

Both will resign,Lets welcome PM Nadine Dorres. Her catchphrase being the pm always tells the truth.God or Allah help us.

Naah - let's have f****g election and kick them where it really hurts in the fucking ballot box and vote the in the most radical party we can find. That'll teach both Labour & Conservatives for being the cunts they are. Johnson - just go and lie in a ditch somewhere or better still find a runway you oppose to being built and lie there
THANK YOU

Johnson will not resign. Operation Big Dog (so expect the same reply from all the cabinet ministers) will now say that due to the Ukraine war we can't possibly have the distraction of a leadership challenge.

And there won't be enough of the Tory backbenchers to push for a challenge and if there was a vote there won't be enough of them to vote him out. And who is there who has any leadership qualities.

The only way to get rid of him is for the Tories to get in a panic if they take a heavy defeat in the upcoming council & bi elections.

I reckon if Sunak had nouse he would resign and offer a grovelling apology about how it’s the right thing to do etc …. making the shameless boris look even worse. Bide his time then launch leadership bid after local elections or the Gray report or the next scandal.

For full disclosure fuck them all!! Lying, entitled cunts! Playing politics for power and games instead of having even 1% good intentions to help people.

I completely agree with skully and charlemagne!! There is zero chance he will resign. He is a carbon copy of Trump (in every sense) He has no standards or principles, only self ambition, so right or wrong doesn't come into it. Can he even be reported to the committee on standards in public life?? It seems to exist to advise sitting prime ministers on others, but I don't know if it can investigate/sanction a sitting PM him/her self??

It is a pointless exercise too, to call for his resignation as 1) He won't capitulate to opposition calls and - 2) unless his backbenchers turn on him - there will be little internal pressure to do so! If they continue to back him btw, it will show them for what they are, and the contempt they have for those that suffered so much - to date by the way - as this thing is far from over, as news from China and other places is showing!

Can the Speaker do something if he is reported to the speakers office for misleading Parliament??

His apology means nothing, and should he continue, he will be sticking two fingers up to all those who followed the rules at great personal expense (even more so than he has done already), and also those who have lost so much.

I wonder if there was any skullduggery going on when Johnson won the leadership contest?
