I feel a little deflated after that 7-3 defeat to Arsenal. We seemed to just collapse in the last 10 minutes.
The right team won, but I felt the scoreline was a little harsh on us. We are certainly giving Aston Villa a run for their money in terms of poor defending.
I think up to a least the 70 minute, we were competing well with Arsenal, but we really need to stop being lazy on the ball and taking so long to search for a player to pass to.
I knew we would suffer on the counter attack in this game because we are so slow in defence except for Santon.
Although we did have a few positives such as Obertan, Marveaux, Tiote and Bigi, but I'm still ill from this result.
I expected two defeats against Man United and Arsenal, but its manner in which we lost that disappoints me.
Anyways, we seem to be the team that offers the chance to see an entertaining game in this festive period.
Well done Arsenal and Walcott and for fuck sake sign the fucking contract Walcott. That 1st goal from him in the match was similar to Henry.

No doubt Newcastle was in the game and was fustrating for me in the first half as we were too slow on the ball and Ba was bullying the centre backs but 2nd half was a big improvement with closing down players and playing it faster

A much needed win against the Hammers but I'm more or less resigned to relegation unless we 'do a Wigan'

dan, i think you're being a bit hard on newcastle. arsenal had boxing day off, yous played on a heavy old trafford pitch, fitness was always going to play it's part, as it proved in the later stages. but to be fair, as an arsenal fan we needed that win!

AVB is a class manager, he did a great job as British Virgin Islands head coach
Seriously though I follow Porto aswell as Liverpool as they were my home club, the team we had when he was Porto manager was immense, and winning the Primeira Liga, Europa League, Taca de Portugal, and Supertaca in one season isn't easy, he was manager for 51 games and lost only 2.
What happened to him at chelsea is he wasn't given any time to create his own squad, he wasn't able to make any signings of his own.
If he is given time and backed at spurs he will do fine, I wanted him to become liverpools manager in the summer too.
