RE: Chelsea FC - southsidestu - 06-06-2019 18:59 Let me rephrase that How should they spend the money once the ban, that i totally forgot about and made a tit of myself in the process, is over RE: Chelsea FC - shaun blue - 26-06-2019 10:08 It's been a busy month for Chelsea, with the must talked about Hazard departure going through, the much talked about Sarri departure going through, the legendary Petr Cech returning to the club as the new technical director, and hopefully the new manager (Frank Lampard we assume) being confirmed soon. We need to sort out the future of several players though and time is ticking on, with the players due back for pre-season training as soon as next week, so there's till a lot of work to do. RE: Chelsea FC - Superhans95 - 26-06-2019 12:46 Think Chelsea have been very disrespectful to Derby County in their pursuit of Frank Lampard. Pre season starts next Monday, it should have been wrapped up ages ago. RE: Chelsea FC - shaun blue - 27-06-2019 13:46 Frank was on holiday and has only just returned, so nothing could really be done until this week. Yeah he was in the South of France on Uncle Roman's yacht. RE: Chelsea FC - chelsealion - 04-07-2019 08:35 It's confirmed. "Chelsea Football Club is delighted to announce Frank Lampard as our new head coach". RE: Chelsea FC - William H Bonney - 04-07-2019 10:07 If Maurizio Sarri had stayed, Chelsea would have had the 3rd oldest manager in the Premier League next season. Now they have the youngest. RE: Chelsea FC - southsidestu - 06-07-2019 14:28 I wonder if, with the transfer ban in place they were struggling to get an experienced manager in for the job, especially after the loss of Hazard. Chelsea scored 63 goals in the premier league last season and with 16 goals and 15 assists Hazard had a hand in half of them (their overall goal difference was 23). If this ban is not rescinded, short of their players really stepping up in his absence or 1 or 2 young players breaking into the team in a way that Rashford did, I really cant see how Chelsea compete this season? And i'm not just talking about top 4 RE: Chelsea FC - shaun blue - 08-07-2019 10:09 This could work in Frank Lampard's favour, as it's surely easier to take charge when expectation levels may not be as high as they usually are. RE: Chelsea FC - southsidestu - 09-07-2019 10:17 Indeed, the only question is how much leeway are the fans willing to give him now that they have become accustomed to success in the last 15 yrs |
