Jefferson said that it was quite likely that the virus had been circulating for longer than generally believed and that large swathes of the population had already been exposed.[/i]

If that's the case why are we only getting the hospital admissions and deaths now. Especially since we've only started shielding the high risk groups relatively recently.

There is no acceptable way to create herd immunity, for something with this level of mortality, other than vaccination.

You're trying to defend the indefensible.

would like to see what the death rate from Pnumonia and the Flu was before and after it was announced might be the case that covid 19 deaths were attributed to both pnumonia and Flu earlier that were in fact covid 19

That is scary as it probably means it can make the jump to animals. the biggest fear is that if it can be passed on to the great apes that will be the nearest animal to humans will be under threat as apes can catch respiratory illnesses from humans.

What sort of state do you think the hospitals themselves would be in, if there had been covid patients coming in early on, before they realised what they were.

^ There's a very long but absolutely excellent piece here on why all the stats in this are massively debatable and why we are all on a wing and a prayer ride with the data modelers at the moment. They have an unenviable task and, like Brexit, the repercussions are going to be with us for so many years to come.
