I'm not backtracking here, and I'm certainly not supporting Ofcom in any way, but their strongest argument and one I don't see any way around without some change in that specific area, is that these channels are advertising premium rate calls and for that reason are classed as shopping channels - which we know have very strict rules regarding sexual content. I'm not saying anything here that we all don't already know, but I think sometimes people forget how powerful a weapon that fact is for Ofcom.

Wow. I didn't know that.

With that in mind, as you say, they have all sorts of power of the channels. But what an absurd rule that is!

I didn't realise the babes channels was one big auction - the more you call the better your 'bid' becomes? Steve SMC must have surely won Georgie by now?! Tongue

On a positive note, I feel it's relevent here to say that Kipsi's dayshows on Asian Connections offer, perhaps, the final pick-prick of light in Ofcom's heavy curtains, as they continue to draw them over the 900s.

I'll say no more than that Smile

After reading the latest fiasco in the 'investigations' thread, all I can say is that I'm now beyond being angered by these investigations/findings/in-breach rulings. All I feel now is a sence of complete and utter hopelessness.

The webstream is the future, sadly. Let's hope Elite takes this on, and starts an uncensored stream.

Not for me it's not. It's weird, but I have no interest whatsoever in babeshow webstreams. The day all the babeshows move to the internet is the day I stop watching.

T'is Ofcon's objective, I fear.

But is it? Ofcom/govenment, i believe, have already intimated they wish to "get involved" in the internet scene too..

I dont think they should all move to internet. But pretty much stay as they are now (within guidelines) then additional parallel content on a stream online. They would need the shop window on TV as the source of punters. That might work. Worth trying anyways.
