RE: Football League: Discussion - Joey 27 - 22-10-2014 01:21 6 wins in a row and we're up to 3rd RE: Football League: Discussion - Joey 27 - 26-10-2014 00:57 we are top of the league but i won't get too cocky its still early days, and good to see wolves back on form with a win at bellend road RE: Football League: Discussion - Snooks - 26-10-2014 01:15 Well I am certainly not getting carried away either. Wolves are doing a lot better than I thought they were going to. Down the track it is a concern to lose Bakary Sako and Nouha Dicko to African Nations Cup duty. Our two main goal scorers ![]() But right now 26 points from 14 games is very acceptable. But the Championship is such a dogfight. Every single match feels like climbing Everest backwards with both legs tied together and with a blindfold on its so tough. A real slog of a league and still games against more contenders to come in the near future. Derby, Forest, Ipswich, Watford and Bournemouth look potentially very tough opposition. But then I think that about every opponent every week. If there is one thing Championship football has taught me it is to respect the toughness of every game and not take any team lightly. RE: Football League: Discussion - Regenerated - 26-10-2014 01:37 Steady progress so far for us which I'm satisfied with, despite the clear flaws with defence. It does feel like a slog sometimes as our relatively inexperienced defenders at this level have to fight so grimly just to keep us in games. Frustrated also that Kenny Jackett insists on tinkering with the team and playing a midfielder / winger as a left back (a pattern that some of his predecessors tried to do and they didn't really work - Mark Kennedy, Stephen Ward). I think we'll have enough goalscorers even if the African Nations Cup goes ahead - it's just whether we can keep the goals out at the other end. I've got to be happy with third in the table this late in October though. RE: Football League: Discussion - HannahsPet - 26-10-2014 09:19 Shocked we got a 3-1 away win at forest and we are only 1 point behind the playoffs thought we had blown our chances this season but was wrong just hope we can keep Rhodes and Gestede in the Jan Transfer window RE: Football League: Discussion - davetherave57 - 28-10-2014 16:54 Bring on Derby....the QF's are almost in our reach...6/4 is a steal methinks :-) RE: Football League: Discussion - mickster - 01-11-2014 04:25 (26-10-2014 00:57 )Joey 27 Wrote: we are top of the league but i won't get too cocky its still early days, and good to see wolves back on form with a win at bellend road The address is ELLAND ROAD , not that it's any of your business seeing as you profess to follow Forest Green ,who aren't / never will be in the Football League .I'd take the piss out of your team if I could be arsed to look them up in the Massimo Cellino Guide to Wonderful Achievers in English Football . P.S. Cellino knows sod all about Football too .
