Just when you thought the tories can't sink even more lower than they have, they have today basically said/implied most people who have have mental health issues or other issues that mean they are signed off unable to work are faking it!!! and want to cut welfare by ending sicknote culture.
Most people who claim welfare are in work or are pensioners!!!

I am utterly incensed and incandescent at Sunak about this.
Mental health decline eats away at self esteem and ability to make sense of things. It questions everything you believe in and cripples your spirit.
It also instills paranoia and shame that makes it difficult to function properly. I know because I've been there before and am there again now.
Sunak is basically insinuating that patients are liars and frauds while also making out that GPs are incompetent and not the right people to cast judgement on health issues.
Demonstrating how ridiculously out of touch he is with ordinary folk.
How dare he cast aspersions on the integrity of people with mental health issues and then having a barbed pop at GPs while he's about it.
He is an over privileged, cold hearted, desperate PM trying to blame the people for their problems rather than accept government responsibility for the state everything is in. Absolutely indefensible tripe.

Me too Snooks, it makes my blood boil the tories are demonising the sick, vulnerable and disabled people like myself like this. The amount of fight me & my parents have had to put up to get & maintain the support I need has been ridiculous & often very draining & depressing and stressful
The tories could get loads of people in work, by investing & fixing the NHS and investing in mental health services. Not by cutting their benefits & forcing them to work

it was the same when they were threatening not to put UC up at the rate of inflation last year they bottled it because they suddenly found out that they had a lot of claimants in there constituencys which means they would lose there seats
its basically playing up to the Hard Right Press and Reform Voters who wont vote Conservative again ?
that said whoever says that its easy to claim Disabilty benefits have never actually tried to claim them.
