Thomas Tuchel has been announced as the new Chelsea Head Coach. He's being reunited with Christian Pulisic and Thiago Silva who he coached at Dortmund and PSG respectively.

was Frankg given enough time?

Tuchel is the 5th German to manage a club in the Premier League, after Felix Magath, Jürgen Klopp, Daniel Farke and Jan Siewert.

I don't know, but Chelsea want immediate results and weren't willing to give anymore time.

He was given a huge budget to buy new players and half-a-season to make them a team.

That’s a lot more than other short-lived Chelsea managers have had.

I’d be more upset if the signs were pointing in the right direction, but things seem to be getting worse, not better.

Right decision IMO

What a goal from Olivier Giroud against Athletico Madrid and surely Chelsea's most impressive result for some time. Another clean sheet too and with reference to the recent discussion on defending in this thread it's now 2 goals conceded in Tuchel's 8 matches in charge.

It's hard to take after losing last year's final, but well done to Leicester City for winning the FA Cup. It just wasn't our day. By finishing runners-up in consecutive FA Cup finals, Chelsea matched Newcastle who did it in 1998 and 1999.

We just have to move on now with the Champions League final coming up, not to mention the women's Champions League final as well. If we lose the Champions League final, Tuchel will also be a runner-up 2 years in a row after he lost the final last year with PSG.

What a disappointing weekend. Although we lost 4-0 in the women's Champions League final, we shouldn't forget that Chelsea women have had a phenomenal season. As for the FA Cup Final, it will be good to see if Gary Lineker keeps his promise never to complain about VAR again.

Although we concede so much less under Tuchel, scoring goals has become a problem, with his 27 matches in charge only producing 34 goals scored, and at this critical stage in the season we've only managed 9 in the last 10. Let's hope for a clean sheet in the Champions League final.

Thank you, Gareth Bale!

It was a bit of a Sophie’s Choice for Tottenham today. With Chelsea losing at Aston Villa, the Leicester-Spurs game would decide the final spot in the top four.

Spurs could take revenge on Leicester for pipping them to the title in 2016 OR they could take revenge on Chelsea for costing them the title in 2016 with a come-from-behind draw in that famously ill-tempered match at the end of the season.

Fortunately for Chelsea, Bale just likes to score ... PHEW! ?
