His unbeaten retirement would yet again put another hole in the linear championship for a while unless Usyk/AJ beat him. Which I don't think they could. A one of a kind boxer, his sheer size yet ability to slip punches, high ring intelligence and ringcraft.

If he wants circus, another WWE appearence wouldn't harm him Wink
Don't insult him with that pantomime!! Yes I know there is skill, supreme fitness and athleticism and yes, I know it can go badly wrong (Owen Hart) but while boxing is the real world in the raw - WWE?? well!!............etc. A personal view - nothing more!

He is a fan of it and has been his whole life and enjoys doing it so I don't see why it's an insult Huh and he has already said he is gonna go and do it again in the summer
You have to admit though goatman - it is fake compared to the 'sweet science' and UFC MMA which are brutal?? I was being semi humourous with the 'pantomime' label though!

Anybody who can make a zillion quid is generally a fan of whatever platform is there to provide it!

Yes I like to compare wrestling to a live rocky movie, the fight scenes in rocky are ridiculously bad but it's still entertaining

And if you have ever seen a Tyson fury press conference all his jibber jabber comes from watching wrestling
Big Laugh Indeed!!Wink

Shakur Stevenson V Oscar Valdez in a few hours in Vegas! This is a unification match - up that can justify the tag of 'super' fight!! Hard to call too to be fair, with both men so evenly matched. Maybe Valdez on points?? based purely on experience??

RE: Boxing Chat & Discussion - Whynot - 30-04-2022 22:02

Stevenson vs Valdez, I know Stevenson is a big favourite and tonight is meant to be his coronation as super feather king but I don’t think he gets it all he own way. Stevenson on points but close!!

Liam Smith wins on pts, the incredibly talented Galal wins by KO

Katie Taylor v Serrano … Taylor has the size advantage and always has the judges! Delfine Persoon beat her twice and got robbed twice. So Taylor on points

RE: Boxing Chat & Discussion - hornball - 01-05-2022 16:48

It was Stephenson and on points, but it wasn't close! I will never know how Valdez thought that he could overcome Stevenson on the technical front, instead of being 'busy' and taking it too him? When he did, he had great periods of success, but he just didn't do it nearly enough. Worthy winner though Shakur - wonder what his next move will be??

Cortes v Del Bosque was a cracking contest. The finish from Cortes clinical!

One more step towards immortality tonight for arguably the greatest pound - for - pound boxer for a generation?? Should Saul Canelo Alvarez overcome Dmitry Bivol, he will undoubtedly be in the shake up for the greatest ever title, regardless of another tear up with GGG.

One step too far, as it turned out, for the great Canelo! In no way does it tarnish his career and overall record, but he bit off more than he could chew this time against a quality savvy champion in Bivol. Looks like it might have scuppered a third fight with GGG now but, then again, another title to go for with Golovkin once again a unified world champion himself, would be a suitable sign off for a true great - (two true greats).

Derek Chisora came through a bit of a slug fest to beat (although I wasn't so sure) Kubrat Pulev. In what was regarded by many as Chisoras' last chance, I personally thought that maybe Pulev had the better work, particularly after round 4 to five. I know he was rocked by Chisora too, but the effectiveness of his attacks may have stolen it. I think Barry Jones felt the same?? Still unconvinced that, should Chisora meet pretty much any of the world champions, that he will come out on the right end of the result. I know that his defeats have come at the hands of the very best at the time, but the same names await him now, and he hasn't improved then - to - now much in my view

lol at Timmy fumbles - telling the youtube jake paul that he wouldnt get out of bed to fight him in UK for £500,000...when he made himself look a tart on love island for the chance of a share of £50k Bounce

Looks like finally the Fury - Joshua Showdown is on!!
Seems as though Joshua accepted Tyson's offer but wouldn't be surprised if it didn't happen in December

Eddie said those two can't stand each other so it does make for a great tear - up
