Am i the only one who thinks all these young lads who died would have loved to have seen sports cars pulling dougnuts, just like a lot of young people today?

From what I saw on gogglebox, they drove past the cenotaph and was pulling them further down the road aways.

I watched that too, and I agree. From BBC news.

Quote: The driver of the car was briefed by production prior to filming as to where to drive and to not do any manoeuvres close to the monument, an instruction to which he fully adhered.

It was a silly mistake to film there, as they should have known this would happen, it's not like it's a new show with inexperienced staff. Given the history and the fact our press love outrage, it was almost inevitable a story like this would happen at some point. Top Gear plus Ken Block = Doughnuts, drifting and burnouts, a quick google search would have brought up results showing how the guy drives, if anyone had bothered to check Rolleyes

^ BS!

Notice how they waited till the lorry was beneath the two circles to obscure the fact that the two straight drag marks patently extend well below them.

The false extension of this story has all the validity of aliens making crop circles!

The Mail had the screaming sub-header that Block's machine passed "inches from the Cenotaph" the other day... Erm, you mean like thousands of cars do every day of friggin week! It was ill-advised to be pulling stunts near there but give it bloody rest and let's move on.

Cheers for the opportunity to vent though circles! ;-)

Calm down dear, it's a fake Wink

Thing is, they're not going to know anyway. It's the people they left behind you have to think of. And, understandably, they're not always able to think rationally about something like this.

In his review column for the Mail, Evans takes a pot shot at "Zippy, George and Bungle", reveals he's off to Venice filming and that the studio set designs have just been "signed off":

New staff have been appointed to TG post-Cenotaph:

BBC deny this is in response to controversy:

(At least it makes sense that you wouldn't employ a 'studio editor' until you could shoot on a studio set! The timing of an appointment of a 'editorial lead' on the other hand...)

Filming at the start of this week was at Folkestone Rugby Club:
