Maybe my expectations have just been too far reduced, but I think it is enough nowadays for a girl just to acknowledge the real purpose of the call and simply be WILLING to indulge a bit of DTW chat.

Part of the onus surely has to be on the caller to take her off-piste. When she says, 'would you like a massage?' there is nothing to stop you from saying, 'actually no, I wouldn't. I'd like a sexy adventure filled with sizzling gypsies, thank you very much'.
