There have been some changes inasmuch they are now on a different Astra sat but I never needed to change anything.

BTW People 'praise' the camera-guy when he zooms in. In my opinion he does that to alert the performer who can see on a monitor that she shows more than she should rather than encourage the performer to carry on.

Hhmm that doesn't make sense? I have 2 sat receivers and tried both. YES the channel is there but its constantly freezing (like its buffering from the stream) and the reduced resolution is just absolute garbage. Indeed they have moved from Astra 1M to 1N on frequency to 12633H but that was back in January so isn't related to this issue

I assume your receiving the same awful 480x576 resolution since friday? This channel on satellite has ALWAYS been 720x576 and the difference is night and day. The standard was more than acceptable but now it absolutely is not! its even worse than the online stream

This occurred some 2 weeks ago for a few hours but then returned to its normal default resolution after that, but now its been stuck like this for several days?

You must have seen the severe drop in resolution no?

Not really.

My sat feed passes to a DVR and then is upscaled to 1080i/p

I can not find any setting on the receiver that indicates the resolution that is being received - that might have existed in my older one and without the DVR. Only the 'quality' which is currently @ 86% (And reluctant to fiddle since I almost lost EVERYTHING)

Or to put it another way the channel has gone 'tits up'. They have been 'out' for the vast majority of the pre-titti time and not a blink of an eyelid.

As a relatively new viewer again to this channel, I used to watch it when it was on Rampant tv, I've noticed that although the feed for a main girl will be live, there are a lot of repeat videos showing, which still continue to show it's live. There are telephone numbers to ring and money to be wasted I would expect if ringing those numbers. or are they being filtered to back room chat girls?

well i can assure you trying to watch this live on satellite at the current resolution is impossible especially with the constant freezing. The quality btw will be signal strength (signal to noise ratio) not actual the quality of the picture Huh Your recording media and codecs will show the poor resolution quality from what is originally was

^^ 'fraid not. The DVR is as dvd-recorder plus HDD. I do not record this just watch it. But if I did record I should get the same on the HDD albeit as SD that is transmitted. Maybe I can experiment with that. TBH I never really thought about that since what I actually see is normally fine. Now, saying that, a few weeks ago there was severe disturbance and loss of signal. Put that down to weather conditions in Germany since all was fine here.

Transfer the HDD to an actual DVD and the quality then depends on a pre-selected resolution + bitrate.

Just running a test recording. But the msg I saw when hitting record shows recording quality at that pre-selected resolution and not what is received. I'll see if I can upload the sample tomorrow.

My friend. You do not by any chance use a DreamBox for your sat receiver/recording ?

In my days at the Liveshow-tv/sexysat forum, the boss there, Mauro, and others, used such equipment which, if memory serves only records 'natively' - you get what is sent. Plus I believe it did tell you the resolution.

ive been a satellite user for many years and currently use a VU+ box based on enigma2 with internal HDD also. Ive watched this channel for years and the resolution has NEVER changed on the fly like this. In fact i cant remember ever seeing a satellite channel changing resolution from one day to the next.

Ive done a complete firmware update and a clean wippe of one of my receivers just in case there was some issue i was missing. Checked dish alignment, cabling the bloody lot!

When i run a full satellite scan on Astra, its still finding the channel where it should be but now at 480x576. It also doesn't explain why watching live is now a complete stuttering mess. Not a single other channel has this weird issue so it has to be from the upload station itself namely BS24.

I recall 2 weeks ago during bad weather in Germany this resolution (480x576) appeared that awful night Lilly was banned, but by 11:00pm it suddenly went blank for a few seconds and then the feed cam back at 720x576 and the issue was fixed. Didn't think any more of it.

Ive checked my recordings and all was fine up till thursday night last week. From Friday onwards its been like this. There's nothing I can do, and have no idea if they will fix the issue, but suffice to say i'm now stuck watching the online stream same as most. I'm pissed annoyed
