If the BBC "cared" about Cricket surely they would have at least outbidded C4 & C5 for test match highlights at the very least .Okay Murdoch's money subsidised sky to begin with ,but like most sports they cover ,their coverage is comprehensive .All Englands home & away series .Most other countries are regularly covered .All domestic competitions are covered including a couple of county championship 4dayers .Under 19's are covered and also womens internationals .Fair enough sky have the channel capacity to do this ,but like it or not their coverage is far better than the beeb ever was .

The BBC didn't even enter a bid.

Yes England are batting on this morning, which is what we all expected. Australia have taken Bairstow's wicket so Prior is in now. I agree that the declaration will come immediately if Root reaches 200.

Australia need a very unlikely 583 to win 2nd test as England declared on 349/7 joe root out for 180

England had a bigger picture to consider when they chose not to enforce the follow on,keeping the bowlers fresh & also getting our batsmen another innings.Root will now be full of confidence for the remaining 3 Tests.

Australia 48-3 - Tea

There's perhaps only Clarke who would have got in one of their past teams.
Poor in batting, no bite to their bowling and their wicketkeeper is neither good at batting or useful with the gloves.. (Hadden is the first guy who needs replacing)

Australia have now lost 6 Test matches in a row & England have won the last 4 Test matches against Australia.
