RE: World Cup 2014 - The Draw - Joey 27 - 09-12-2013 18:29 people always say it gets very humid in this country in the summer but the fact is hot and humid weather doesn't last long enough for us to to get used to it, some days it may only be 21c or 22c here in summer but im sweating buckets cos of the humidity, the temps do make a difference as well as the strength of the sun, right now it is 6c here but the humidity is 93%, im not sweating at all though RE: World Cup 2014 - The Draw - lovebabes56 - 09-12-2013 18:50 (09-12-2013 12:33 )William H Bonney Wrote:(09-12-2013 07:09 )babelover48 Wrote: How high about sea level is Manaus? RE: World Cup 2014 - The Draw - lovebabes56 - 09-12-2013 19:01 If we are going to win I'd say it does look as if we'll have to do it the hard way (as always!!) That was in July. Believe me the humidity and heat bears no relation to the warm summers we are sometimes lucky to see over here. I think Fernandez is the expert on this subject somehow To be honest with you I lost interest in this whole subject a long time ago, all these pointless numbers and Boneheads stats.. All that you need to know is it will be humid and the teams will have to deal with it, the team who score the most will win. All this other talk is pointless, I would not say i'm an expert on sea levels either, never taken a interest in it and never will I'm a football fan, not a scientist. RE: World Cup 2014 - The Draw - lovebabes56 - 10-12-2013 06:41 Sorry Mate I just got curious!! But I was right in saying that both teams have to deal with it the best they can, but at the end of the day you are right too, it is the team who scores the most goals wins!! And I still think Suarez will relish the conditions as well as Costa Rica who I feel are an unknown quantity to England I don't think we have played them before now. RE: World Cup 2014 - The Draw - William H Bonney - 10-12-2013 15:04 Of the 12 stadiums to be used in the World Cup 2014 these are the only 4 which are at a higher altitude than West Bromwich Albion. Estadio Nacional, Brasilia 1172m Estadio Da Baixada, Curitiba 920m Estadio Mineirao, Belo Horizonte 800m Arena De Sao Paulo, Sao Paulo 792m RE: World Cup 2014 - The Draw - lovebabes56 - 10-12-2013 18:53 BBC has secured rights for England's first game of the completion just announced on 5 Live RE: World Cup 2014 - The Draw - bytor - 11-12-2013 07:04 (10-12-2013 18:53 )babelover48 Wrote: BBC has secured rights for England's first game of the completion just announced on 5 Live But sadly ITV have the other games. Means we have to suffer the bland and inept pundits and the crass commentary RE: World Cup 2014 - The Draw - 7 stars of the orient - 11-12-2013 13:38 I see most of the 2am kick offs have been brought forward now, leaving just the one. Very nice for TV ratings. I don't think the BBC would have been over concerned about the England-Costa Rica match, as it's a 5pm kick off which isn't ideal and it's also possible that England might be knocked out by then going by the pessimism that prevailing at the moment. |
