there is a saying often said about ice hockey "you go to a fight and then an ice hockey game breaks out" Big Grinlaugh

ive been into ice hockey for 18 years and whilst yes it can be very violent, there is also lots of skill to admire too

yeah it's not that bad actually. took my kids to see the belfast giants one time at the odyssey. was good craic!

Elise Christie finished second but was relegated to 4th

I found it odd that she was relegated to 4th when the Korean fell again after the crash.

we dont know yet but that was funnier than that aussie when he won after they all fell

confirmed elise christie came 4th after being penalised for a collision in the final in which 3 skaters including elise went down. little harsh but the correct decision I think

elise still has her strongest event to come which is the 1000m speed skating

Hoping GB appeal this decision!

RE: Winter Olympics - Sochi 2014 - Rammyrascal - 13-02-2014 12:21

don't think they can. the officals decision is final and cant be appealed I think

i think the decision is absolute b----x! i watched replay and yes im british maybe biased but the italian pushed in to elise and caused all 3 of them to go down! yes she was tight on the inside but if the italian made the initial contact then she should be dq'd!

RE: Winter Olympics - Sochi 2014 - mikedafc - 13-02-2014 12:26

would surprise me if there is no appeal process

well the speed skating expert and legend that is Jonathan Edwards agreed with the judges decision so it must be correct! Rolleyes
