I was a member of a model making group. We would make model planes, trains (my favourite) and cars. We used to use many different types of materials. No, we didn't use Airfix - that was a big no-no.
Unfortunately, about 15 years my entire collection was destroyed when a fire swept through the shed I kept them in.
I also was a member of a local G & S society who would put on two of the G & S operettas every year - one in June and the other in December. It was also a good way to meet some lovely ladies.

I like riding roller coasters,I've been lucky enough to visit some of the great amusement parks all over the world and experience some of the biggest and most exhilarating coasters on offer.
This one called Icon opened at Blackpool Beach last month.Its the UK's first double launching coaster.I rode it a few times last weekend,utterly fantastic.

On line scrabble has become a regular habit. I am ok with words generally so I suppose it is probably quite suited to me.

I increasingly listen to a lot of radio.
Varied tastes.
Radio 1, Radio 4, Radio 5 live and 5 live sports extra but most especially The World Service.
Newshour is particularly informative for global news on the World Service.

In the spirit above I listen to a lot of podcasts. Of particular interest are history based ones on BBC Sounds.
A series on there called 'A short history of...' is excellent and very informative.
Just listened to 'A short history of Marie Curie' which was absolutely brilliant.
