I agree, my hope is that with more cricket in him Jordan will get more confidence in his body not breaking down and really let himself go.

I get so frustrated with the english selectors, so much talent going to waste in the county game!!

Australia post 178-8 against West Indies.Maxwell top scored with 45 from 22 balls.Narine was the stand-out bowler with 2-19.

England's thrilling chase yesterday meant that a moment of controversy went without much comment. Jayawardene edged to Lumb at point who took it splendidly, only for the third umpire to rule that it wasn't a certain catch. There was utter disbelief from England and Dernbach almost lost his cool at Sri Lanka's repreive as they should have been 4/2. Why not leave these catching decisions with the on field umpires because watching replays isn't helping any?

RE: 2014 ICC World Twenty20 - Boomerangutangangbang - 28-03-2014 15:41

^^ Worst decision by a 3rd Umpire I've ever seen, comfortably a clean catch,no doubt. You would hope that the he wasn't trying to put right the mistake by the one-field umpire who had just given Perera out caught behind the previous ball when he had made no contact.

Broad & his team have received fines for slow over rate & the captain will be penalized with a one match ban if he transgresses again in the next 12 months.Sri Lanka's captain Chandimal has received this punishment for his 2nd offence, again for a slow over rate in the same match.

Awesome finishing by Sammy as West Indies pulled of an exciting win against Australia. With 31 still needed from the last 2 overs Sammy hit the turbo button & took 19 off Starc.Faulkner bowled 2 yorkers which left 12 runs required off 4 balls Sammy calmly struck 2 massive sixes to take them to victory.

No, it was only England's 12th highest score in T20. The highest was 214 against New Zealand in February 2013.

I believe that it was the highest target that England have ever chased down to win batting second in a T20 international.

Did you notice Chris Gayle's reaction to winning? he went totally tonto, maybe because certain Aussies, including Faulkner, have been mouthing off in the media as usual.

Fantastic to see how much it meant to the WIndies beating them!

^^ I saw Gayle get his face in the camera & then fell over backwards ending up on his arse.Sammy has said that it made it more special that it was Faulkner bowling the last over.

Bangladesh 138-7 off 20. No chance, surely?

There have been numerous close and thrilling finishes in this tournament. None more closer or nail-biting (for England) than the recent match against Sri Lanka. England's fielding was appalling - 4 dropped catches and they missed an easy run-out. They were saved from possible elimination by a fantastic century from Alex Hales.
