Suarez is not a criminal, he has not had any criminal charges for this, what he did was morally wrong but it doesn't make him a criminal, People like to make issues like this much bigger than they are! Is it worthy of 24 hour national news coverage in England that a Uruguayan Footballer nibbled an Italian Footballers shoulder?... Not really no..

Completely blown out of proportion and it's getting ridiculous, It's had more coverage than Wimbledon and the War in Syria...

Media in the UK just love to stir things up as much as they can.. get over it, worse things have Happend on a football pitch and there are far bigger problems out there to worry about than Luis Suarez, a footballer.

Maybe your media should concentrate more on uncovering Peadophiles and Terrorists and putting them to shame rather than a Footballer..

Players fight each other, Elbow, Kick, Slap, nobody is crying out for them to be locked up, banned for life ect, is Alex Song a Criminal then? Is Nigel De Jong a Criminal, if we followed your logic almost all footballers would be criminals and in prison, How about we don't book footballers now or Give them red cards, we just send them to prison?

^ a bite is not normal..do you not get it??? how many other players have bitten??? for ffs even in boxing there was an out cry??? yes boxing where they hit each other....if you bite there is an out cry!!...if he does not want to get banned you do not bite..a kick, a slap, a bad tackle, an elbow CAN be defended as an accident....a bite??????????Importantbladewave

I didn't say biting was normal!

I think in general this whole thing is ridiculously blown out of proportion, yes it was wrong what suarez has done, but he is not a criminal, we all have our own issues in life and we all need help sometimes to solve them..

Look how good and well behaved suarez has done for liverpool this season when he had the help and backing from the club in Phsycological help, he was the best player in the league, and probably the world last season.

It's just one of those things, in a way Suarez was out of his comfort zone when this biting incedent happend, away from liverpool and the people who have been guiding him and helping him all year.

You could tell by his reaction after the game he had realised what he had done, I don't think he even knows himself why he does it and you can bet nobody is more let down by him than himself..

Off the pitch he is actually a really shy quiet guy and a family man, he has said many times in interviews how ashamed he is of himself having to explain to his children when they grow up what he has done.

He just needs some help, I don't think it's right to bite somebody, but I also don't think it is right to keep putting somebody down like the media are for a mental health/ anger issue..

FIFA also need to take into account that he needs help as they should be supporting their players who if it wasn't for them they wouldn't even exist as an organisation. what happened to the "football family" Blatter likes to go on about?

^if you can not go through life without being able to stop yourself biting people then you need to visit a mental hospital for treatment....whether you are a footballer or a milkmanImportantSad

^To be honest CW your entitled to your opinion, as am I, nobody is saying what he has done is acceptable but i think most would agree FIFA should also provide help for somebody they govern with help.

Also it is unfair to punish Liverpool FC over this as they have nothing to do with it..

uruguay were not punished last time, why should Liverpool loose suarez for more games than Uruguay?

RE: Has Luis Suarez been fairly punished? - cwpussylover - 27-06-2014 20:39

^the man is super rich he can employ/affford the best help he can get...it is normal working people who need outside help...not a spolit overpaid sportsman
Important and I agree with youSurprised we are both entitled to our opinionsImportantBlush

Yes but many times people do not realise they need the help until it is too late, Gazza and George Best are 2 examples of this. Doesn't matter how much money is involved, its not about money, it's about Realising that somebody has a problem and giving them guidance and the right support.
