England bowlers doing well without Broad. Four Indian wickets for 61 runs. Let's hope the weather stays fine so there's an end to this game.

England win by an innings and 43 runs..

Stuart Broad has been for an Xray and it's been confirmed that he has a broken nose.

Not a very good effort by India, losing 9 wickets after tea, and worse than their 1st innings when the conditions were against them.

Won der now if India regret not using DRS in this series

India have appeared to go through a 180 degree turnaround in their performances over the last two test matches. Huh A truly woeful display by them at Old Trafford showed they had reached their nadir in this series.

Stuart Broad is seeing a specialist today and it is still uncertain if he can play in the final test on Friday.

Stuart Broad trained today wearing a different style of helmet. This one has a narrower gap between the grill and the helmet.

Pics today show him with black eyes and a heavy plaster over his nose.

I saw him with a bandage right across his face. He looked a bit like Adam Ant.

England won the toss and inserted India in the 5th test at The Oval. The side that destroyed India in 3 days at Old Trafford was unchanged, England resisting any temptation to recall Steve Finn and giving Chris Jordan and Chris Woakes another chance to prove their worth.

Lunch is taken with India 43/5. Important Jordan has taken 2 wickets and Anderson, Broad and Woakes 1 each.
