nasty. They always ask the Physio to remove the pain but keep the swelling. That's what I have been told.

Aus 264/5

Been a good day for england hopefully we can get rid ot the tail for about 350 or less

England bowled very well. Unfortunately they bat all the way down. You can tell that the wicket is screaming for a quality spinner. If only we could do a tactical substitution of Replacing Bell with Rashid.

I think we have to hope that we could get them out for somewhere between say 350 and 395 and build on the lead we have as quickly as possible but if that was to happen in trying to push home the advantage many of our batsmen will try to score too quickly and that is where we will make mistakes.
But our biggest mistake was winning the toss and batting first when we should have put them in and used Jimmy to his best advantage.
And with the Aussies batting all the way down the order there is every possibility that this will need weather intervention to make a draw the only likely result I would say any chance of an England victory was gone on the toss.

I would say it is pretty lifeless with very little help for bowlers and the Aussies will be looking to make the most of the conditions today to reel our total in and over take I wouldn't bet against the Aussies making 500+ on it And Ali is a good spinner, but I know Panesar would probably made some inroads pretty quickly if he was playing - but he isn't.
When we pick the side for the Second Test I surely would think Bell would have to be sacrificed for Bairstow or Hales and give Lyth one more shot

Australia all out 308

Well done Cook. Plenty of people myself included, thought should have put Australia in with the cloud cover available. Credit where credit is due. All of the bowlers pitched it up consistently even after being driven for four. It reaped dividends. Now if we can win the Remainder of this session and the next,it will be ours to lose. However after witnessing umpteen batting collapses by England in the past I take nothing for granted.

You should have done. They made 308.

He isn't playing for Essex either. They haven't picked him since 26 April. The last team he played for was Luton Town (against Ampthill Town).
