Bet half of Europe was pissing themselves laughing as to how clueless we was in that first half Friday

Really? At least England won 4-0 and are top of their group. Others would be envious of that. The Netherlands are only 3rd in their group and look unlikely to qualify, Italy lost 3-0 this weekend and face the play offs and France could only draw at home to Luxembourg.

A step closer to the World Cup with a well earned 2-1 victory over Slovakia.

One thing is sure, England have absolutely no chance of winning anything with Mr No Personality Southgate in charge, 3 very late goals against the might of Malta, then a scraped win against Slovakia, it was like watching a bunch of headless chickens running around a Coop.

Not the most impressive last couple of matches I agree, however the main thing is qualification and then we wait with the usual apprehension for the finals and hope that they can surprise us by achieving a good tournament result.

Well we can still hope... Wink

England squad for the forthcoming qualifiers against Slovenia and Lithuania.

Joe Hart, Fraser Forster, Jack Butland, Jordan Pickford

Ryan Bertrand, Aaron Cresswell, Gary Cahill, Phil Jones, Harry Maguire, John Stones, Michael Keane, Chris Smailling, Kyle Walker, Kieran Trippier

Eric Dier, Fabian Delph, Jake Livermore, Jordan Henderson, Raheem Sterling, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Jesse Lingard, Dele Alli

Marcus Rashford, Harry Kane, Jermain Defoe, Daniel Sturridge

From that squad, and fitness permitting, my starting eleven would be:

Butland

Walker, Stones, Cahill, Bertrand

Dier, Henderson

Sterling, Alli, Oxlade Chamberlain

Kane

EDIT: Alli's now suspended for one game so will miss the match against Slovenia. I'd put Rashford in instead.

Is home game being played at Wembley given it has had 2 American Football games played on it and would need a quick turnaround for it to be ready for Thursday

Great so we'll have a pitch which has both new football marks and faded American Football lines bladewave. Not to mention the grass being uneven and full of divets.
They could have moved the match to Manchester
