They've also lost at Rugby Union and cricket. RE: World Cup 2018 - lovebabes56 - 17-06-2018 07:04 ^which was taken the worst i imagine? RE: World Cup 2018 - lovebabes56 - 17-06-2018 07:08 Brazil V Switzerland should be a good game Switzerland will only get something out of it if they nullify Neymar early Croatia probably feel they should have hammered Nigeria more RE: World Cup 2018 - lovebabes56 - 17-06-2018 07:35 in the realms of possibilities could England meet Iceland again if Iceland got through? RE: World Cup 2018 - ShandyHand - 17-06-2018 09:59 ^ The draw keeps everyone in groups A to D and E to H separate until the Semi's mate. But yeah it's possible then (or in the Final obviously). EDIT TO ADD: With Croatia taking charge of Group D perhaps the most likely scenario is for Croatia to maintain this and then England would need to top their group to head towards a Semi-Final confrontation with Iceland emerging as runners up to Croatia. If Iceland take first place in D, England would have to progress as runner's up in Group H to be on course for the same clash. I hope everyone hasn't nodded off yet... RE: World Cup 2018 - 7 stars of the orient - 17-06-2018 11:15 An unlucky day for Peru yesterday. I thought their 1-0 defeat to Denmark was very harsh on them. Now they have to play France in their next match and defeat there could mean they are eliminated before they even get to play their final match against Australia. That would be a shame when this is their first World Cup for 36 years. Also yesterday I don't think the 1-1 draw between Argentina and Iceland was as big a surprise as many people have said, as Argentina haven't impressed recently and their only plan is to pass the ball to Messi. Croatia against Argentina now looks like a key match for both sides, especially if Iceland can bag 3 points against Nigeria. RE: World Cup 2018 - HannahsPet - 17-06-2018 11:25 France were very poor yesterday were lucky to get past the Aussies Do hope iceland get past the group RE: World Cup 2018 - circles_o_o_o - 17-06-2018 11:52 The Peru superfan who whips her top off every time they score a goal But we're still waiting RE: World Cup 2018 - railwayman - 17-06-2018 12:49 (15-06-2018 13:54 )7 stars of the orient Wrote: "ONE NIL URUGUAY", shouted Jonathan Pearce, as Luis Suarez scuffed the ball into the side netting. "Oh no, the ref has ruled it out. Lets check the replay and see why its ruled out. Oh, it's actually gone wide". Clive Tyldesley mentioning Stalin in the opening match has to be the oddest commentary moment so far. |
