I'd hoped they'd stopped with the ever busy camera work, but it's worse than ever. Alex Shane remains a laughably bad commentator. SoCal Val is utterly useless and irrelevant. Wade Barrett tries but brings nothing to the table. The wrestlers are SO hammy it's crazy. And the crowd don't really give a fuck.

I'd love to know what the ratings are like. MUST be tanking.

Clearly not tanking in the ratings given WOS is doing this tour next year & are very much involved at WrestlingMediaCon next weekend. If it was doing so bad in the ratings as your suggesting, itv would not have green lit this tour & not been involved in WrestlingMediaCon.

Also I listened to the new episode of Joe Hendry’s podcast where his special guest was Viper where they did talk about WOS & how it’s been for them filming it & how it’s been at their wrestling shows including when Viper wrestled for PCW (where she’s a face) and got booed. Big Grin. Both of them have nothing but praise for wos both during filming & after

ITV won't have any say in touring. It's nothing to do with their television stations. It's certainly possible they have invested SOME financial backing in the endeavour, but they will not have required ITV's permission for anything except using the trademarks.

Feel free to find out what the ratings are exactly. The fact they moved the time slot already is a VERY ominous sign. And, obviously, there's no word AT ALL yet about another season of it following on. The whole thing screams flop.

I got this info from sescoops The 4th of august episode had 607k viewers which was a 150k less than the repeated episode of the chase which aired before it
so half a million viewers on a saturday on itv isn't a great number, i don't know how many episodes are left but i can see them being moved to their repeat time on sunday morning

No it's not an ominous sign that the time slot for WOS has changed, it's so blindingly obvious why, THE X-FACTOR RETURNED LAST NIGHT! simple as that. Yes there hasn't been an announcement yet, still 4 episodes to go. Probably announce a 2nd series in the final episode or will announce a 2nd series at their WOS Wrestling Panel at WrestlingMediaCon a week today (I will be there Big Grin) plus around 600,000 at 5pm on a Saturday isn't bad at all given the football season is back in particular. Ratings always going to drop once football started. If that was for the x-factor then yes it's a flop

Way way to early to say WOS has been a flop. The fact there they are already touring next year indicates otherwise & for me it's a case of when rather than if a 2nd series is announced along with an xmas/new year special

RE: ITV WOS Wrestling - The Goatman - 02-09-2018 18:10

the ratings for the 4th of august episode was unaffected by football as the season didn't start till the next week but funnily enough the august 11th episode against the football increased to just under 700k so from that info i don't think football's affecting ratings much

The Football League started that weekend

Do you seriously think football league affects ratings ?
If the premier league didn't affect it i dont think the football league will do much, i didnt even consider adding it to the conversation

If I had a car, Blackpool wouldn’t be an issue. But because I’m reliant on public transport, it is. I am seeing the wos stars live though a week today as I’ve said in Manchester
In fairness, I have got a car and I won't be going either laugh

This past saturdays episode got 400k viewers thats a 300k drop from last week (was on at 16:30 this week) if its the same number next week or less wrestlings time on itv 1 might be over pretty quick, if its renewed for a second series i can't see it staying in that time slot maybe even move to itv2 or itv4

Itv4 is pretty much itv’s sports channel as itv show the Tour De France, Tour De Britain, Vuelta a espana, British Touring Cars, Superbikes and boxing on itv4. So if itv do go ahead with a 2nd series of wos (I think they will) then would make sense I agree to move it to itv4. But itv could keep wos on itv and use it to boost ratings for its biggest Saturday shows like X-Factor & The Voice, as for this 300k ratings drop last weekend, it was a bank holiday weekend & lots of people will have gone away on holiday & of course football would gave again affected the ratings.

I think the announcement of the 2nd series will come this Sunday 9th September as SoCalVal & some of the wos roster including Joe Hendry are at WrestlingMediaCon in Manchester on 8th & 9th September and WOS are having a panel on Sunday 9th September. At the panel WOS will announce the 2nd series & and an Xmas/New Year 2017 special
