I have the exact same opinion of the Last Jedi. Far from perfect, but I appreciated that Rian Johnson at least tried to bust Star Wars out of the storytelling straightjacket it was in.

I’m also concerned that the ‘universe’ won’t have the same breadth as, say, Star Trek or Marvel unless they start to move away from fan service and introduce some new ideas.

Overall an A- for the full post. Please correct this obvious error for the full marks:

I think it is pronounced ‘Empire Strikes Back’. Wink

Thank you but I will have to stick with the A-

I'm a little late with this thread as I've only just finished watching the end of season 2 of this excellent show. The whole saga of the 2 seasons has been a great journey and almost a welcome return to what Star Wars should actually be like imo Smile

The follow up 3 movies, (Episodes VII, VIII, IX) did not quite do it for me, although there were some good moments in these movies. The Mandalorian had better story telling and kept me wanting to watch more! I'm looking forward to season 3....and what an ending to season 2!! Quality Tv Show imo Smile

Just like with s1. There is a behind the scenes look at the making of s2. Ep 1 of which is now out

Production on Season 3 starts in April.

Actress Gina Carano has been fired Lucasfilm due controversial social media posts, let’s just say it’s do with Jews and it’s really bad what she posted so for me they did the right thing.

RE: The Mandalorian - HannahsPet - 11-02-2021 12:37

She wasnt fired basically she was not in contract and her contract was not being renewed

RE: The Mandalorian - skully - 11-02-2021 13:18

It doesn't matter either way really (fired or dropped), she's destroyed her career because she thought she could post whatever she wanted without consequence. By pissing off the head honchos at Disney and getting dropped by her reps, she's almost guaranteed black ball status.

She posted some unforgivable comments that are nothing to do with being on the left or right, it was career suicide. Disney need to be careful though.

On a positive note, Lucy Lawless is apparently signing up to the show Smile

Edit.
