An own goal gave France a 1-0 over Germany and that makes 3 own goals so far in the tournament, which equals the most own goals ever in a Euros and we're only 12 matches in.

I've decided to put together a fantasy eleven from the first cycle of matches. I've picked my selections based on performance and results, but have also included a player for his conduct / temperament in an horrific situation.
Some tough choices - Sterling and Lindelof were close, as were some others, but this is what I've gone for:-

A Finland goal after just 3 minutes.. good news for anyone who had 3 minutes as the fastest goal in the competition.

Question for Snooks on the first goal and last goal thing what happens if there are no goals in 90 mins and it goes to extra time in the final. I imagine you just pick the extra time goal.

Russia (or rather the Soviet Union) won the Euros in 1960 and were runners-up in 1964, 1972 and 1988.
