RE: News on new channels - Freeview & Sky - mr mystery - 01-04-2013 15:25 Check this Twitter profile out http://www.twitter.com/BabeView_XXX It looks like Babe View could be a new channel starting up . I see a few babe channel girls are following Babe View as well . So if you find that on some frequency ranges you get generally poor signal quality then it's likely the LNB is the area to work on. Thank you for your comments dirk, very helpful. It's definitely only the one frequency I can't get, although I've known Sky 908 to get a little wobbly at times (only an occasional problem), so there might be a slight problem with a second frequency. I've looked at the LNB and compared it to others in the immediate vicinity and the position seems to the same, so I've guessing it's starting to fail. I've just checked out Ofcom's licencing update section on their website that gives details of any new licences granted, no new babe channels have been granted a licence in the last few months, no details for May have yet been given, they could of cause us the licence of a existing broadcaster like some other channels do . It wouldn't surprise me if this BabeView is some sort of hoax/fake channel broadcaster account , although some babe channel girls are following them on twitter . Freeview Channels 178 179 - Kevin555 - 12-06-2013 12:57 On these channels there was stories they were being taken over but nothing has happened. Does anyone know if there are plans for anoy of the other operators to take them over RE: News on new channels - Freeview & Sky - TheWatcher - 05-08-2013 10:02 Extracts from a516digital.com - from 4 August 2013 Ofcom has updated its broadcast licence database today, revealing some interesting new potential additions to Freeview in the coming months. There are also new licences for adult services KissMe TV and Proud Dating. Peace TV is also on the list, but some services now listed by Ofcom may launch as streamed services via the Connect TV platform. Such services require a digital terrestrial TV licence as they need a channel number on the Freeview channel line-up linked to an online portal. The award of digital terrestrial service licences does not necessarily mean the channels will launch on Freeview anytime soon. Ofcom has listed timeshift channel "Yesterday+1" for over a year, without the channel appearing in the Freeview line-up. I was just quoting what was posted at a516digital. Their info is usually correct. The statement, coloured red, in my post was a direct quote from the article, saying it was an adult service. You can read the full article here http://www.a516digital.com/2013/08/could-these-channels-be-coming-soon-to.html RE: News on new channels - Freeview & Sky - mr mystery - 07-08-2013 18:30 Iv'e just been on Ofcom's web site having a look at new licences granted by Ofcom in July 2013, as stated by The Watcher a potential new Adult channel with the name of "KissMe TV" was granted a brand new freeview licence in July, the type of content was described as "Teleshoppng" , as i stated previously a company called "Boxbeat Media Limited" is the licence holder of KissMe TV. A potential new freeview channel "Proud Dating" as The Watcher mentioned was also granted a new freeview licence in July, Boxbeat Media Limited is also the licence holder of that potential new channel as well, the type of content was also described by Ofcom as "Teleshopping". (Ofom desrcibe babe channels as Teleshopping) Iv'e just checked and Boxbeat Media Limited is the licence holder of the "Kiss" music channels broadcasting on Sky TV, but this licence isn't described as Teleshopping, it's described by Ofcom as"interactive/Music/Editorial, so is the company behind the Kiss music channels about to venture into the babe channel market i wonder ? . On another note i noticed on the updated freeview licence daterbase that The Watcher mentioned that Playboy TV Chat and Elite TV still have up to date freeview licenses . RE: News on new channels - Freeview & Sky - suits - 08-08-2013 01:07 New channels and new operators are well overdue and might breath fresh air in the sector. There is a real need for operators with diverse interests so they can weather the occasional storm. |
