RE: Cricket Banter - Snooks - 10-11-2019 07:01 Picture the scene. International T20 series. New Zealand v England. Ah yes World Cup Final memories come flooding back . Anyway forget that. Different format . It's a 5 match T20 series and its 2-2 going into the final match. Rain shortened game. 11 overs each. NZ make 146/5. Hmmmmmm looks tough for England but wait....... England make 146/7 Super over. WTF surely not again . England bat first in the super over and make 17/0 Surely enough. Surely it can't be another tied super over...... Aaaaaaaand breathe. NZ make 8/1. England win series 3-2 Yes folks it really did happen RE: Cricket Banter - circles_o_o_o - 30-11-2019 14:19 David Warner really making up for his poor form in the Ashes, with a 335 not out as Australia declare against Pakistan. RE: Cricket Banter - andyjb - 27-01-2020 15:45 Check this out. https://www.babeshows.co.uk/showthread.php?tid=78260&pid=2409760#pid2409760 RE: Cricket Banter - Charlemagne - 06-02-2020 22:21 Jofra Archer has a stress fracture in his right elbow and will miss the tour of Sri Lanka and this years IPL RE: Cricket Banter - lovebabes56 - 11-04-2020 21:25 A bit late, but Congrats to Ben Stokes for being named Cricketer of the Year by Wisden and deservedly so. I can't stop watching that 135 no at Headingley last summer a really mind blowing performance when ou consider how big a hole we'd dug ourselves after being blown out for 67. So good that Radio 5 played that game on 5 live Extra and I rally do hope we can get to see some cricket this summer whatever form of the game is played RE: Cricket Banter - winsaw - 14-05-2020 15:45 the ECB has said today the the players can restart training from next week, first step on getting them ready for the windies in July, they also said how the tour will happen both teams will have to isolate for the whole tour about 8-10 weeks with out being able to see anyone other than there team, not sure some of the players with families will want to do that, also they have said they will call up 30 players as will need lots as will not be able to bring any in, the windies will need 4 weeks before the first test to get ready after landing so if its happening then they will need to fly over in a few weeks if they want to get going in July RE: Cricket Banter - lovebabes56 - 14-05-2020 16:10 There was an interesting interview with Johnny Gray the West indies Executive on Five Live Sport on the Tuffers and Vaughan show last night, and I would say well it is worth a listen to. They are still hoping to tour here, but are likely to be isolated away from public for SEVEN weeks!! That would be tough on the team, and more than likely that the Test series wit the West indies would be played as back to back Tests as when it is safe. But more than that, he also said that it would be the ECB that would be picking up the cost of the tour. Also in included is a conversation between Paul Collingwood & Kevin Pietersen on the 2010 World T20 World cup win and I think that Final will be played in full on 5 live extra on Saturday. RE: Cricket Banter - winsaw - 01-06-2020 15:44 i see today on sky news that they are going to have a 3 game 1 day series against Ireland , to possibly be played at the same time as the windies test matches, as there are no travel restrictions between uk and Ireland this should be easy to put on, i guess no need for the Ireland players to be isolated maybe just tested regular like the footballers RE: Cricket Banter - winsaw - 02-06-2020 15:27 dates for the test matches against the windies have been released , looking forward to this First Test v West Indies: 8-12 July, Southampton Second Test v West Indies: 16-20 July, Old Trafford Third Test v West Indies: 24-28 July, Old Trafford RE: Cricket Banter - Boomerangutangangbang - 18-06-2020 15:12 A sad day for myself & fellow Tykes as Tim Bresnan is parting company with Yorkshire with immediate effect after 19 years service, to pursue playing opportunities elsewhere. A whole hearted player who always gave his all to club & Country. A common theme in all sports, especially with those at the back end of their careers with limited playing opportunities. This enforced break has given many extra time to weigh up what direction they are heading in. Sadly there will be many whose playing days are already over. I wish Bres all the best & hope he gets another gig As long as it's not at Wanky Lancashire]. A shame that the supporters wont get a chance to give him a proper send off. |
