Since Jo Cox was a Remain-er who was tolerant on refugees, unlike the Farage Tendency, it's going to be a challenge for the media not to point that out, nor for the Leave camp to come up with good counter-arguments.

Doesnt mean every leaver would shoot an mp in the head though. Only can blame both camps for some of the rhetoric. but it could have been about something else other than brexit i remember how nasty the syria vote got with left wing nut jobs threatening MP's

hopefully her death means we can start to be a lot more civil to each other but i doubt it

The Leave camp think Immigration is the big issue.

Cox, correctly, thought refugees needed more tolerance.

It's not that difficult, is it?

^ Of course Nigel will say that UKIP are not a racist party. Pity therefore that the picture does not contain a single white face. Oh and they are not immigrants either - it's a picture of Syrian refugees fleeing the hell taking place in their part of the world.

Many of us may think that immigration levels are too high but I could never align myself with Farage, his party or any of those on the Leave side. I truly believe that within the EU we can together find a way to deal with humanitarian crises and levels of immigration in a compassionate way. That's surely is what world leading countries do.

It is an issue, even the government ackwledge that.

^ Yes it's an issue. I just don't believe it is a reason to exit the EU. We are better than that as a nation surely? The Leave campaign have been guilty of making it the major reason to leave the EU. It's their Project Fear and it sickens me. Go to Leave.EU's Twitter feed and see the tweets they have done @leaveeuofficial They are Farages backers & led by millionaire Arron Banks who admits to spending £6m on the campaign. See the cartoon of a ship - look at the 2 Arab looking guys - 1 with a bag of money & the other with a scimitar. I'll leave you to decide if you want to live in a country that views foreigners like that.

remain are no better...scaring oaps etc...all politicians are full of shit...at least if we get out there will be a few less on the gravy train lining their pockets.
and they was not all fleeing Syria...majority were economic migrants from africa using same route

RE: Europe..IN or OUT?? - HannahsPet - 17-06-2016 12:33

The newspaper I read said the picture was of Syrian refugees. I don't doubt that there are economic migrants as well seeking to use the cover of refugees.

By the way don't you think a Leave campaign tv broadcast showing an old lady struggling to get see at an A+E whilst in the EU and being seen by a smiling nurse in a half empty waiting room if we leave whilst falsely claiming we send £350m a week to Brussells is also a scare tactic?
